This all started with me answering an advertisement for simple escapes, i never received any information in the mail or on line after I initially accepted the offer. So I assumed that there was no such company or offer. The following month in March a charge for $139.95 appeared on my credit card statement. I called the phone number to inquire as to what this charge was. They told me it was for my simple escapes membership.

I informed them that I never received any information and was no longer interested. They said I would receive a refund in 3-5 business days. This created overdraft charges in my account but of course they did not refund these and said that it states in their contract (I never received a copy of) that they are not responsible for any over draft charges. So I had to eat that loss.
Than one week later I was reviewing my bank statement on line and noticed a $1.00 charge from a place called MWI Galleria. I called immediately to inquire as to what this charge was for. They informed me this time that it was for my Galleria membership that I agreed to on a phone solicitation call. I told Adam Jones #96204 that this was not something that I agreed to and he said he would cancel the membership at that time and i would not be billed anymore from them.

Well, guess what 1 month later i got charged $149.95 on my credit card and once again immediately called to find out what this was for and they told me once again this was for my Galleria membership that I accepted. I told them once again, i did not sign up for any galleria whatever. Well it once again has created overdrafts in my account and they will of course refund the $149.95 but not responsible for any overdrafts.

My bank has faxed them a copy of my bank statement and hopefully I will not have to eat these charges a second time. After 40 minutes at my bank we decided the only way to stop these scammers from attacking me again is to cancel my credit card number and get a new one.

That has been done but it is a hassle for now I have to call and inform any honest business that uses that number with my permission that they can no longer use that number because of these scammers. This whole mess has ended up costing me so far $206.00 out of pocket expense. Something needs to be done to these people they should not be able to get away with this.
