My Dynasty Sales Craig Trautman Scam - BEWARE! Phoenix Arizona

My experience was exactly the same as the previous report from the person in Maryland. A chubby young man and his "brother" (whom I now believe was in training for this scam) came to our door selling books and magazine subscriptions. Their story about earning points for a Communications class trip to London was so detailed that I fell for it. They also mentioned their mom walking her dogs in the neighborhood (even named the dogs).

I decided to order one set of books that I thought my kids would use. The price was $34, but when he wrote it up it included $15 for Shipping and Handling. I wrote a check for $49 and now I realize I will never receive any books.

I had a feeling something wasn't right, but I came inside after they left and looked up Trautman in the phone book and there was one in our area so I thought I was being paranoid. Unfortunately, I didn't cancel the check in time because I didn't Google the company right away.

When I went to the "My Dynasty Sales" website, there is a place for customers to enter a receipt #, but it told me that my number was invalid and was probably from a "stolen receipt book". I'm furious they even go so far as to act like they are actually taking orders from anyone. There is no phone number on the website and when you click on "contact us" it asks you to fill out a lot of personal information - yeah right. I'm really going to give out more information to a company who steals from people trying to help out young people.

Does anyone know who I should contact - police, Better Business Bureau, is it even worth the hassal?
