MyTeleBill Voice Mail Service Scam Gilbert Arizona

I just got billed by my phone company for a voice mail service by MyTeleBill, billed through a billing company named Integretel Inc. Charges were $9.95 without further explanation. After searching the companies names I found a lot of complaints and a phone number.

As it turns out MyTeleBill's number only plays a tape message forwarding any billing questions to Integretel or leaving a message (never got a call back). The friendly customer service at Integretel then explained the charge and that it supposedly was made by my wife (she read to me my wife's full name, birthday, address etc.).

When I insisted that my wife did not order this service she immediately offered to cancel it, but claimed that the first charge was valid and had to be paid. I asked for further proof that my wife actually ordered this and not somebody who just used her personal data. I asked if the phone number was checked by a call back or an email verirification or if there was a taped phone conversation. I only got the answer that Integretel ist just doing the billing and any requests had to be sent to MyTeleBill. I responded that there is not a real address to this company and not even a valid phone number (she had given me the P.O. address) and that I suspect that this company does not even physically exist.

Also I mentioned that I had found a lot of fraud complaints about this company on the internet. I stated several times that I wanted to talk to her supervisor but she claimed that he was not available. When I repeated myself several times about my opinion that this charge was fraudulent, that I would not pay it and that they would have to try to collect it she suddenly offered to refund the full amount + tax. I accepted, repeated everything (for the tape recording that hopefully was taken) and wished her a nice day.

I suspect the information was sold to MyTeleBill and used to rip off people who just don't have the courage to stand up. They were probably only aiming to get the initial $9.95 - multiplied by thousends of victims a nice amount of money!
