I went to have diamond nail put on my natural nails on may 25, 2004. On may 29,2004 i went and showed the guy who worked on my nails my fingers. He took the gel of and had to cut my nails all the way off. He did not charge me for that but charged me 32.00 for giving me a fungus. Then when my mom talked to her, all the lady did was yell at my mother and call her a liar. So do yourself a favor and do not use this salon or you might not have any nails at all.

the person that did her nails did them with dirty instruments. My daughter did her nails religiously every two weeks her filed to deep into her nail bed. They some times hdid not even clean things between clients. I am going to court on this. i have already filed with the magistare court since i have obtained the staement from the doctor. You might be a nurse but my daugter is not stupid. She is in the medical field herself. Do you have stock in this company? If not then why are you saying anything. I am not sayimng all nail salons are bad, but this one was checked out yesterday and they are using thins that by georgia law are not supose to be used at all. thank you.

If you had a nail mold, it is possible that the nails were applied incorrectly or not correctly maintained regularly (every 2-3 weeks). The artificial product begins to lose it's hold on the nail, allowing water to seep in between the product and the natural nail. The heat of the body combines with elements in the water to allow mold to grow under the product. Nail mold is usually green in color, and though it is undesireable and ugly, it does not cause permanent damage to the nail unless allowed to go unchecked.
The best way to avoid nail mold is to have your nails done by a quality nail technician, and to get regular rebases.
Nail fungus is a different condition. It is really quite rare, although people often mistakenly refer to nail mold as a fungus. Nail fungus is caused by a systemic problem in the body. Artifical nails do not cause the fungus, but unless the nail technician is alert to the early signs of a fungus, it may go undetected for a time, and continue to grow under the artificial product. If allowed to grow unchecked, can result in permanent nail damage. Once detected, nail fungus is best treated by removal of the artificial product and regimental use of an antifungal agent. Nail fungus should be treated by a doctor. As I said earlier, nail fungus is very rare. No, I'm not a nail tech, but am a Nurse Practitioner and have seen this innumerable times.
