Unfortunately, this complaint is entirely believable.

There have been numerous reports of Narconon staff drinking or using around patients who are under their supervision. Narconon of Georgia has previously been cited for not drug testing their newly recovering staff members.

Sometimes, the parties at Narconon have had deadly consequences:

See the Casualties of Narconon Facebook photos page for additional evidence:

Narconon is a controversial international drug rehabilitation program based on the philosophy and theories on drug addiction of L. Ron Hubbard, a science fiction writer and founder of the Church of Scientology who appears to have been unqualified and ignorant of basic medical facts. Narconon's ties to Scientology are not readily available or disclosed to its clients who are making a decision on treatment for drug addiction at a vulnerable time in their lives. However, Scientologists are employed by the centers and its doctrines and organization are similar to Scientology.

Many critics claim that Narconon is simply a front group for Scientology with the purpose of making money and recruiting new members for Scientology and although Narconon is officially a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization it does charge for services.

The reason

What many people, if not most, don't understand, is how creative substance abusers are when it comes to excuses ( I know this from past personal experience).

The reason he tested positive for drugs is that he took drugs and for no other reason. Blaming someone else is just a smoke screen, you are responsible for your own actions, period!

Not believable.

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

I sent one of my ex-employees here for treatment. Why would you send an EX-EMPLOYEE anywhere, let alone some form of substance abuse treatment? On his first day back he tested positive for drugs. How would you know this? After all, he's an EX-EMPLOYEE! Ex-employee also told me one of the counselors was drinking alcohol with the people in treatment.

Let me see if I have this right. Your ex-employee had a drug problem that was so severe that you paid to send him to treatment. Then when he is released, he tests positive and then YOU BELIEVE HIS NONSENSE ABOUT THE TREATMENT FACILITY!

Don't you know that drug abusers well tell any story imaginable to justify their drug use?

Sorry, I don't believe this report was written by any employer.

I hope this is a joke.......

You really blame them because your employee went through their program, and now tests positive? You cannot be this ignorant.

Nobody can make him use drugs. He made the decision to do so. You can ignore this fact all you want, but it is a fact. Let him accept responsibility for his actions.
