This company buys old debts that have been written off by the original owner and then tries to collect on them. I have been receiving calls day and night regarding a 1999 VW that I did have to turn back in when I couldn't work and pay for it. I turned it in, they did not come after me first (This was in 2002). National Action Financial Services is calling at all times of the day and night, days and weekends. I explained that I could not work, had major shoulder surgery in January and cannot lift my arm. I have had to go on public assistance. My church has paid my medical insurance and the community where I live has given me food.

This is all humbling for a person with a Master's Degree in Social Work. My doctor has stated I may never be able to regain use of my arm - I have learned to type with my left hand! I did explain all this to the young man who called. He told me since I didn't have any income his company was going to be a lien on my present car - the only thing I own a 2004 Forensa. He has called me 4 time tonight (within a 10 minute span) the last time I asked him not to call me again he said "Shut up Pig" and slammed down the phone.

I called back and asked for the supervisor, of course, I was not put through to him but back to this obnoxious man again! Believe me I am humiliated enough, I got that little VW Bug for my 50th birthday and it nearly killed me to have to give "Baby Car" back. Oh yeah, they say I still owe them more than the original price and I drove "Baby Car" for two years.

The debt is 7 yrs old and you need to get a copy of a credit report and see what date you can have it dropped of the reporting system.

Send them a CEASE AND DESIST letter to not contact you and tell them that there will be no more contact and send it by registered return receipt mail.

Then go to bud hibbs and click the agencies button on the left side and scroll down and read about these scum bags.

Then contact the FTC online make a formal complaint and then write the New York state attorney cause they can not collect outside New York State and may not even be licensed.
