They say they are a PPO, but not health insurance. They can save you money with discounted price from their providers. They ask for money up front and make sure to tell you this is non refundable. I know for a fact that depending on the state you live in it may be recovered.

The salesman I spoke to was to send me an E-mail (within 15 mins.) to better understand the policy I had just purchased. No E-mail and after several attempts to get a hold of someone I become leery of the company.

I began to call doctors and pharmacies to find out if indeed they were provides that were shown on their web site. Not one person knew what I was talking about and had never hear of them. One pharmacy looked up the name on a nation wide search and said they were a non existed company. RED FLAG!

I come to ripoff report and found I was not the only person that fell victim.

The main company's name is Vantage American Solutions, not Vanage. If you try to get in touch with them after the sale you will only get an answering machine. The cost is $139.95 per month and there is a $119.90 application fee. They claim to be a PPO but are not health insurance. They are a "Group Association Plan".

After a salesman gets you to agree to purchase the plan a manager will get you on the phone and will read things to you while being recorded. He talks fast and will try to confuse you. He will have you say you understand what he is saying by answering questions exactly as he wants you to and prompt specific answers.

If you try to stop him and get him to clarify what he said he will tell you what to say exactly. He will not allow you to ask questions. Once you are done, he has you agreeing to everything, including non-refundable charges on tape. Now you can't dispute the charges. In some states you have a "cooling off period". In California its three (3) days. I tried to contact them to cancel the plan but could not get anyone on the phone, at any of their phone numbers.

I had to contact my bank to try to dispute the charges and get them reversed. I'm still in the process of that.
