AY Transport - National Moving Network Furniture picked up August 2 in Simi Valley, CA - Still waiting for its delivery in New Orleans, LA San Jose CA

In July, 2004, I contracted 2 moves through National Moving Network, for both of my daughters - one from Austin, TX to Baton Rouge, LA - the other from Simi Valley, CA to New Orleans, LA.

The first move from Austin, TX to Baton Rouge, LA - went fairly well - other than the fact, that they picked her things up at 11 PM on Aug 3 and it took 10 days for them to arrive in Baton Rouge. The carrier was Tiger Moving and Storage, out of Houston, TX. The delivery date was changed only once, from Aug 21, 22 to Aug 23. We were called on Aug 22, by the carrier, and told the driver would be there on Aug 23, bewteen 10 and 12. They arrived about 11:30. Although it was obvious her things had been transferred to a different truck, when they arrived in Baton Rouge, everything was in good condition, nothing was missing, the driver and helper did a good job and I was charged exactly what I was quoted, with a balance of $675. I paid the driver in cash and received a receipt. I even tipped the driver and his helper, as they were very polite and helpful. They were on their way by about 1:00.

However, it is now the second move from Simi Valley, CA to New Orleans, LA, that I am most concerned about. The carrier for her things is AY Transport. They picked her things up on Aug 2 and now, 3 weeks later, we are on our 4th promised delivery date. I was told, today, her things are in Dallas, TX, with a new delivery date of Aug 28, 29. After reading all of these other reports, I am just praying her things arrive in good condition this weekend - with no surprises!!! I will report the outcome back to this site, after those dates.
