In addition to lying about my pay rate, and skimming on paying government taxes by "paying a non-taxed uniform allowance" and thus skimming $1.00 per every hour of taxable pay I should have received, this company has failed to properly train, has failed to file my Dept. of Homeland Security Citizenship documentation in a timely manner (they ASKED me for my ID as a US Citizen 3 days AFTER I started, which is the time period that they had to file said information.  They filed it at least a day late, if not later.  They handed me half of their "new hire packet the 2nd week that I'd worked, and I didnt even receive that (late, of course-like everything they do) until I'd asked for it several times.  I received the 2nd half of the packet ("oops" was their response) on my third week of working.  

 

Like the new hire papaerwork, and their requesting my US Citizenship documentation (actually THEY didn't request it, I had to ask my "Lt" if he WANTED it) my first paycheck was late, and I had to BEG for it, since they illegally "tagged my hours onto the next pay period," when I should have been paid in the current pay period, like everyone else who had worked in that time frame.  My second and LAST paycheck was not only CUT a MONTH LATE, but they had NO INTENTION OF PAYING ME IN THE FIRST PLACE.  I had turned in my hours via my timecard in a timely anner (a foreign concept to this crappy company) and should have been paid, again, like everyone else who worked during that time period, but because I had quit, they were planning to sweep my paycheck under the rug.  How do I know this?  How can you trust my version of the truth over the BS that they will no doubt spew after reading this?  

Because I filed a complaint with the CA Board of Labor.....AND I WON.  They can dispute everything and anything I say, but the proof is not only that I WON (that story comes in a second) BUt if you call the CA Board of Labor and ask for the Director of the San Diego Office (sorry I forget his name) he will tell you that there are 28 other people who have not been paid...at ALL by this company, even though by law they owe.

I had filed my claim, and a hearing date was scheduled.  I had to take off two days of work from my new job, which cost me $200, in order to handle the drive each way because my new job was so far away.  As I was en route to the hearing (mere minutes away) I received a phone call from the Labor Board Commissioner, Mrs. Rice, that NPS wanted to settle my $2,000+ claim out of court, and told me to call them.  I called immediately, and was informed that my paperwork was under review. That turned out to be a total LIE, another move to dissuade me from continuing my claim).  I was told I'd get a call in a few days (another NPS lie...theyre professional liars).  Months later, I informed the Labor Board comissioner, and told her that they were full of crap, and had no intention of paying me.  It had taken me a year to get that first hearing that they lied about and blew off (verbatum from the finance director when I called him the day of the hearing:  "San Bernardino is TOO FAR for me to travel from San Diego")  I had not only traveled further, but sacrificed two day's pay, only to get lied to.

A second hearing date was set, and much to my surprise, two people from NPS whom I've never met nor have I ever talked to, were there.  The judge granted unanimously in my favor, and I won because I had proof of every wrong they've done.

Here's the good part:  An investigation is SUPPOSED to be performed by the CA Board of Labor after 3 cases have been filed, but that didn't happen.  I was the only case in San Bernardino, BUT there were 28 cases in San Diego of other employees who have been screwed over by NPS.  They just didn't file and pursue it like I did.  I plan on not only informing all 28 of those people that they can get their money, but I will also be filing a case with the San Diego District Attorney, so that they open an investigation.  This company has gotten away with embezzling thousands of dollars, and will not get away with it.  I will also file a class action suit against them, once I have contacted all of the other employee's who have been screwed over.

I want NPS SHUT DOWN, and trust me, you do NOT want to work there!
