I was hired for a job in Medford, OR to install a DSL Modem. I was promissed $35 an hour plus $20 for travel.

When I arrived onsite I had to check in with 3 differant places, then did the work, then had to check out with 3 differant places and fill out 3 differant check out forms; totaling 3 hours, 140 miles, and 1 DSL filter.

I waited 3 weeks and still didn't recive a check, so I emailed the owner Derrick he said it would take up to a month. I waited 2 more weeks and called he said he was not in accounting and I would have to contact accounting. So I tried to contact someone else with the company with no responce from any email addresses. Then I called there 800 number and only got voicemail until I pushed 1 for a service call and it forwarded to Derrick's cell phone. He said he would look into it.

After another 2 weeks, I called and emailed back and he said it would go out this week.

After another week, I called back and threatened to call my lawyer if I didn't recive my check in 48 hours, then I recived a check for $60 after 3 days.

So after spending 3 hours onsite dealing with there bull, I had to spend hours of my life typing emails and making phone calls for $60 which almost covers the gas I used and the overage from being on my cell phone for so long to check in and out.

Nationwide ACS Scam 2004-2013

AUTHOR: iOSGenius - (United States of America)

Hello All,

i have worked with Nationwide ACS for over 2 years and there was alot of work to be done, yes mind you i had to wait for a month for pay and I was paided in a month did not like it - but unemployed i could not really complain as much.

When i first started out did have issues getting paided and Derrick would tell me i had the wrong department and will transfer and then transfer over and over again.

Finally i got in touch with accounting (Sandy White) was the person and she made sure I was paided each and every time.  I called her cell phone number and was paided each time with no issues.  Then I left and obtained a full time with another company, but then I was laided off again after a year.

Called Sandy for work and informed me she has left the company for personal reasons though we keep in touch, she has informed me to watch out with ACS as management has changed their ways.

So i reapplied with ACS and ready to work, out a few clients about 15-20 clients in a month, and to my surprise they did not pay me and later waited and did not pay me.  They said if i work more hours and my availability was more open i could receive pay faster.  So i went with their thoughts and did that and was working alot as a full time job would be and my surprise again that i did not get paided.

So of course i kept tracked of all hours and sites and copies of signatures and everything clients information for proof.  And brought this up with derrick and transfer me to accounting and send them of copies via fed ex for verification (of course i still kept a copy).

Then accounting has received it and called and said it was received by them, and said the envelope was damaged and open as their was nothing in it.  Called fedex and contacted the driver and said the package was impeccable seal and not damaged.

Now i have a problem with Nationwide ACS scamming me and they still charge their clients what ever their fee is.  So i looked into it further and found that Nationwide ACS charged them a yearly fee on some server items, and other small stuff as windows transfer or hard drive replacement, etc was a fee of $120 and pay me only 30 bucks with travel not much.

So as i kepted all their clients I have supported and provided them my own contract as I or my employee will provide support and made my business.  So they screwed me in my pay and yes i invite a lawyer to investigate and found many others in the hundreds complaining of this company not paying the consultants.  Had a letter written to them and in a week my lawyer received the money of a total of $2,841 bucks - of course part of that went to my attorney but at least i was able to receive my money.

This is a lesson to learn make sure you keep all transactions receipts clients info, business cards, keep in touch with them outside of the normal channel for Nationwide ACS clients and you can help yourself in making some business or make a good contact in providing support.  So in 2009 I have made business in and out with Nationwide ACS Clients and ACS is upset, but if they cancel their contract or end it with ACS then I'm offering a better deal and lower to appear and or remote in.

i Laugh still today, when i help someone out they tell me they had a contract with ACS before and did not like the service as there was a different tech each and everytime never the same and they would have to explain the issue all over again.

When i worked with ACS at first with Sandy, i was told the client wants to see me over and over again and only me instead of teaching all over again to aa different tech.  So in turn they made money but i made very good contacts.

later all since 2005 they are still in business which bites and not sure, else to do in closing them down.  But i have a body shop near my home and does the same as ACS and he is still in business for years.  They make their money on a contract or either they own the building they work in, pay taxes at end of the year if they can bs it then win the deal they stay in business.

this is wrong but a city or state will not close their business as long as they still have contracts in motion.
