Nationwide Pools they are major scam artist, which they rippe you off stating you can cancel within 10 days but when you even cancel within the 3 day receission period they refuse to refund you the money and force by their they blackmail you and to do the project through them or you are screwed. they have the worset reputation with the BBB Among neighbors, friends and associates. beware of this company. nationwide pool inc are not major scam artist and they do not rippe you off , keith which is the president of the company is a very nice man who will work his best to work with you to refund you the money you deserve, nationwide poos will not blackmail you and they do not force anyone to do any project if you are not happy for any reason they will will try their hardest to please you and make you happy and will not give the run around or insult you, they will try their best to refund you the money if its necessary to get a refund but i highly recommend this pool company to every one and any one the previous comment was anger from my friend who was angry she didn't special spa special thru during their specials... suzy , boca raton fl

I am also a very satisfied Nationwide Pools Client. Nationwide Pools built a very detailed and complicated pool project for my family. From beginning to end we experienced only the highest level of PROFESSIONALISM, from the entire Nationwide Pools Team. It would be a disservice to rule this Co. out!

I recently purchased a pool from Nationwide Pools and what a wonderful expreience it was. Having had pools built by other pool companies in the South Florida area in the past Nationwide was a blessing. There sales staff and office staff were all very nice and considerate to all my needs if I ever had a concern it was answered in a timely fashion. As for the horrible things that other people had stated about Keith I never had a problem getting him on the phone or talking with him I even have his cell phone so I could contact him personally. Being a business owner myself it seems only the most uncooperative people complain so I wanted to take the time and tell you there are plenty of HAPPY customers to. My friends also had their pool built by Nationwide and had another great experience swimming in less than 7 weeks. My family and I want to thank Nationwide Pools again for a great experience.

My name is russell i'm nursing student who was interested in having a pool however i was talking with my one of my neighbors and their expirence with Nationwide Pool and how they came home was pushing them for a check, and that they had 10 days to sleep on whoever, but due to their gut feelings ,they didn't go with them thank god and they had advised not to do so!. so, i started to google pool companies and i came across this comment was made by nationwide pools to one of their complaint about how they had 900 jobs in the past 36 month and they only had 15 complains with Better Business Bureau but its actually 16 complains which is the first lie, so if all this was true and you claim you are the best pool company in south florida than you should not force people to do business with your company if you didn't need a free easy money badly don't your think!!

however,yo you are refusing to give a refund to this person by the name suzie, why don't you just give this poor lady her money back, and stop bullying people to do business with your company which proof to me and i hope to everybody else who comes across this comment, that you most likely are very desperate for money and business going down the drain and this how you make your money ripping off people... suzie should sue your a*s... dear suzie if you are looking for a good attorney to represent suzie, i have an uncle of mine who will be very interested to help you justice from this company who is full of s**t and lies!!!!!!

Dear Consumers:

Honestly, I am not sure were to begin. Mrs. H---- is clearly upset. I guess that I will start with saying, I do know that we (NWP) will always remain courtesy, professional and always take the high road. I also thank GOD that we live in a country were there are laws to protect both the consumer as well as the business owner and that we (NWP) will always abide by those laws. We (NWP) also to dot condone or agree with name calling, malicious and/or slanderous behavior, threatening anyone and especially do not condone any type of fraudulent reporting of any kind.

The FACTS are as follows:

A Nationwide Pool designer first met with the H---'s at their home in Boca Raton, Florida on January 16, 2008. Upon arriving at their home, the H----'s had scheduled four (4) other appointments with other contractors at the same exact time as our (NWP) appointment. It was very clear in our designers opinion that the H----'s were overwhelmed having so many contractors at their home at the same time, so to be both courtesy and professional to the H---'s, our designer asked if they (H----'s) wanted to reschedule for another time, they (the H----'s) agreed and a new appointment was set for Saturday, January 19, 2008 to met at our Nationwide Pool's corporate office and design center located in Pompano Beach in order for the H----'s to be able to see all of the many color selections that we (NWP) have to offer within our standard selections as well as to see our display pool.

The Hamad's did not show up for their second appointment as well as never even called to either cancel and/or reschedule. Our designer tried contacting them several times and finally was able to reach the H----'s. Mr. H---- asked if we (NWP) would mind once again to come back out to his home for the second appointment and we (NWP) gladly agreed, the appointment was set up for Monday, January 21, 2008 at 7:30 PM.

So, once again for the second time our (NWP) designer met at the H----'s home.

A complete and full presentation was given to the H----'s, from and including all of the many features as well as FREE upgrades that we offer in our (NWP) pool and deck packages to going over and reviewing the scheduling process, many of our NWP references, our (NWP) licensing and insurance information, our Authorized certificates from SGM (Diamond Brite) stating that we (NWP) are an authorized builder, letters from Jandy stating that we (NWP) have the utmost status rating as well as being PRO EDGE JANDY DEALER, many pictures of our (NWP) pools were reviewed and detailed drawings were done. After several hours of going through everything in GREAT DETAIL with the H----'s.

At this time, the H----'s explained that they had seen seven (7) or eight (8) other pool contractors but had really lost count but after doing weeks of research and shopping for a new pool, that they (the H----'s) were really happy and ready to purchase a pool with Nationwide Pools.

The H----'s also stated that they both worked for a bank and were very aware and quite knowledgeable with regard to contracts etc. However, our designers will always take the time to review the contracts as well as any and all other documents included in our (NWP) package. Nationwide Pools, Inc. believes strongly that an educated consumer is the best consumer. So, at this time our (NWP) Price Match Guarantee was also reviewed and explained to the H----'s.

RE: Customer Return Policy/Price Match Guarantee

DATE: Effective: February 2, 2008

Nationwide Pool clients have seven (7) days to cancel/ void the NWP contract with a full refund. *This cancellation policy is for the sole purpose for the owner/ client to shop pool contractors for both price and/or specifications. If the owner/ client are to find another licensed and insured pool contractor who will perform in accordance with the NWP specifications for a lesser price, Nationwide Pools, Inc. will have the option to either match the price or give a full 100% refund to owner/ client with NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

OWNERS RIGHT TO CANCEL: This contract may be cancelled by Owner within seventy-two (72) hours of its execution, by the giving of written notice of cancellation to Contractor at its place of business by registered mail, return receipt requested. Proof of such cancellation may be established in only one fashion, specifically, by production of official U.S. Postal Service forms which reflect the giving of such notice. In the event of such cancellation, Owner shall incur no liability to Contractor by reason of the cancellation.

A complete contract detailing all of the specifications, pricing and draw schedule as well as NOC and Authorization Form was reviewed and filled out by our designer as well as being signed and dated by the Hamad's. The contract etc was dated for January 21, 2008. A 10% deposit was included as part of our (NWP) detailed draw schedule in the amount of $3,660.00 was given.

Being that it was now around 10:00 PM at night, everything was submitted to the NWP corporate office the following day (January 22, 2008). Upon immediately receiving any contract package and deposit, our (NWP) office staff will prepare and do the following:

a) Prepare an Office file of all original documents
b) Prepare a copy set of all documents for the designers (field copy)
c) Prepare a copy set of applicable items for our construction department
d) Prepare and send out/file all paperwork related to the NOC
e) Prepare all of the many forms required for the building department
(permitting package applications)
f) A engineering SPEC sheet is filled out in detailed and sent to our
engineering department along with the drawing (sketch) and survey of
the property
g) A very detailed file is set up in our corporate computer system (for
tracking purposes)
h) Another separate file is also set up in the computer in our (NWP)
accounting program
i) Thank you cards are prepared and mailed out

Now, five (5) days later (after signing and agreeing to all paperwork /see Contracts, NOC, Authorization Form & Corporate Addendum 7 Day Price Match Guarantee), which the five (5) days is both clearly documented as well has been verbally agreed to by all parties (see Mrs. H---'s BBB report), Mrs. Suzi H--- called our (NWP) office and said that she was having second thoughts and wanted to cancel. It was explained to Mrs. H---- that her three (3) day right of recision had already expired and that any cancellation at this point and time would have to be approved by one of the officers of the corporation.

Once again, Mrs. Suzi H---- became very irate, screaming and yelling, telling us that another pool company said we (NWP) had a bad reputation and hung up the phone. Unfortunately now it sounds as if Mrs. H---- has been told some lies and yet once again another pool contractor instead of building value in what he or she might have to offer instead resorted to trying to sell their pool by knocking the competition.

She (Mrs. Suzi H---) called back our (NWP) office five (5) minutes later but now for some reason, she (Mrs. Suzi H---) was using a different name when she called, it was explained to her (Mrs. Suzi H----) that there was no need for that and that we (NWP) would gladly take her calls as well as speak with her at any time in hopes of coming to a resolution.

Mrs. Suzi H--- once again started yelling and saying that she was also shown as well as signed a money back guarantee and that she had ten (10) days to cancel. We (NWP) responded that it was it was a seen (7) day price match guarantee and that our price match guarantee gives you the opportunity to shop. We further explained that our price match guarantee is both very clear and simple and if she (Mrs. Suzi H----) could fax us (NWP) a copy of a contract from another licensed and insured pool contractor that we (NWP) would gladly review it and if applicable, absolutely honor our guarantee and either match the price or refund her (Mrs. H----) 100% of her deposit. However, yet once again Mrs. Suzi H---- slammed the phone down and hanging up. (see our NWP price match guarantee above).

Mrs. H--- then continued to call the office several times over the next few hours (which can very easily be supported by phone records) yelling at everyone in the office, demanding to speak to the owners and making threats. It was explained to Mrs. Suzi H---- that as soon as one of the corporate officers was available that she would get a returned phone call immediately.

A few hours had passed and as the president of the Corporation, I (Keith Stuart) called Mrs. H---- back where she continued to yell, name call and threaten lawsuits. Several attempts were made to try and calm Mrs. H---- down in order to try and scheduled a meeting to see what could be resolved but Mrs. H---- wasn't having none of that, and once again slammed the phone down, hanging up.

The next day, Mrs. H---- filed a slanderous as well as fraudulent report with the Better Business Bureau, making all kinds of claims. Which we (NWP) gladly responded to as per our code of ethics that we (NWP) agreed to always uphold with the BBB.

*To date March 13, 2008, we (NWP) as still yet to receive a letter of cancellation from the H----'s as per agreed to as well as in abidance with Florida Sate laws.

In most cases, even after the three day right of recision as per Florida State law, we (NWP) will refund 100% of a deposit back to our clients but that is done so on a case by case basis and after all of Mrs. Suzi H----'s name calling, threats, slanderous and false reports to the BBB and RIP OFF REPORTS.COM, we (NWP) are leaning towards not refunding Mrs. H----'s deposit.

However, still several attempts continued to be made on our (NWP) part to Mr. Tarek H---- in order to try and set up an appointment to hopefully resolve the matter. After several attempts we (NWP) finally got an opportunity to speak with Mr. H----, who was very calm and easy to talk to. Mr. H---- even apologized for his wife behaviour towards us. We (NWP) told him (Mr. H----) that it was not necessary to apologize and that we (NWP) only wanted to hopefully come to some type of amicable agreement for all parties. Mr. H---- said that he would talk to his wife (Mrs. H----) and he would see what he could do, if anything.

The next thing we (NWP) know is that there is a report filed on RIP OFF

Please know that there are always two (2) sides to every story and that this is our (NWP) accurate depiction of everything that has transpired between us (NWP) and Mr. & Mrs. H----.

I didn't cancel, but sometimes wish I had....

I read your report on Nationwide Pools and Spas in Pompano with interest. Though I can't say I experienced what you went thru, I can attest to the fact that I was not completely happy with their work. Although the job overall was good, they dropped the ball so many times on finishing the details, correcting issues, and provide respectful customer service. Even the owner was rude to us on the phone. Totally surprising. Not only do I have contact MANY people in the Ft.Laud area, I am involved in Real Estate and have, on several occasions, recommended that persons with a desire to renovate, go with another company.

Needless to say, their desire to pinch pennies and not provide good service has easily cost them thousands of dollars so far, and will continue to cost them money EVERY time someone asks me who to use for pool renovations.

One question: you indicated you cancelled, but did you do so in writing?? It's my understanding that, under Florida law, the 3 day rule can only be pursued and honored if done in writing. Just wondering.

If you DID cancel in writing (and it was postmarked within 3 day, and you have a receipt of delivery,) then you have the proof you need for a small claims court claim. If you did not,then, unfortunately, you are out of luck.
