Do not trust this company, First of all they will lie to you and not disclose they are really brokering out your car to be shipped my some third party broker, so the person who really comes and picks up your car is not even nationwide united auto...
then they will lie to you about how long it takes to arrive, they told me 5 days, it was really 10 days.
then when my car arrived the engine was blown out and not even drivable and 4600.00 in damages.
when i asked them to pay for the damages they yelled at me and sent me harrassment messages.
then i found out there driver was not even insured during this time frame

A Couple of Problems
AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 18, 2017
There are a couple of problems you have from the start:
1. You're never really going to deal directly with an auto transport company. Most are one or two truck companies and the odds of one of them in your area at the time you need them are really long. The broker has access to several shippers who would be able to move your car at the time you need it. It's not often you need a broker in the moving industry and I would never recommend using a broker in association with a move, but with a car you're almost forced to use one. Anyone who tells you otherwise, isn't telling you the truth.
2. The shipper would have recorded your odometer at the time the car was loaded onto the truck, and another recording at destination. If there wasn't a material amount of difference between the two readings, you would have a hard time proving they blew the engine. You should have copies of the Bills of Lading and it should tell you whether you have some kind of case.
3. You don't indicate how far the car had to be shipped. Delays like the one you describe are unfortunately a part of what happens when shipping a car, however you were likely provided a delivery window. If the distance between origin and destination was 1,000 miles or more, rule of thumb is that the shipping window can extend out to 5 days. If it were less, you may have a case. If not, there really wasn't a delay you experienced; the car was delivered within the window allowed.
You haven't indicated this in your report, but you should seriously speak with the broker about what happened. The auto shipper is not in the customer service business. The broker is, especially as it relates to the uninsured driver and the broker can advise you on the situation with your engine. Best of luck...
