NCH Software, Inc. Denied upgrades for Lifetime Licenses for VideoPad and WavePad software Greenwood Village Colorado

On February 13, 2018,  I purchased  VideoPad Video Editor Master's Edition @ $59.95 for a Lifetime License, and WavePad Sound Editor Master's Edition @ $59.95 for a Lifetime License, for a total of $119.93.  However, when I attempt to download any upgrades after 6 months, I get a message that "if you purchased more than 6 months ago you may need to purchase an upgrade to use the current version." If I purchased LIFETIME LICENSES for both VideoPad and WavePad, why do I have to PURCHASE upgrades?

I also purchased WavePad Master's Edition @ $59.95 LIFETIME LICENSE on the same day and the same message appeared when I tried to upgrade.

-Now, the license you purchased is a lifetime license, however, this does not mean that you will get free upgrades for a lifetime

-this means that you can use the software version that best works with your license, for a lifetime

It is a fraudulent bait & switch sales tactic to advertise Lifetime Licenses that don't include the necessary upgrades. Nor is it indicated on the purchasing page that Lifetime Licenses don’t include the necessary upgrades, or that upgrades are only available for six months.
