Buyers beware! If you ever go on ebay to buy used or luquidated items, stay clear of Netclearances.com. They are the true rip-off artist of the decade! They promise you a particular product that works and even post pictures of it. But, when you receive it, you get something totally different and it is broke or does not work correctly. Over 2500 people in the last 12 months have filed negative resposnes about netclearances products and services. What does it take to get them removed for ebay? Oh, I forgot, ebay is making a ton of money off of netclearances.com And, since they own pay pal, there making a boat load there as well. This is the tripple scam of the decade and I hope they get there reward in the end!! Laszlo Parakovits, you are surely a sad little man!

ebay item # 2365247515

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 24, 2004

I bought eBay item #2365247515 (entertainment center) from NetClearances on 12/15/03 for $52 and $93.50 shipping. NetClearances shipped the item to me by UPS on 12/23/03. UPS tracking #1ZA2W5636870664614. Item was scheduled for delivery on 12/30/03 however UPS returned item to seller before it reached my home. I called UPS, they explained the item was returned because it was damaged. I e-mailed NetClearances on 1/2/04 telling them UPS had returned the item and asked what happens now. They responded on 1/6 saying UPS refused responsibility and asked if I would keep the item and they'd refund my bid money. I couldn't keep the item since I never received it.

I e-mailed them asking questions about this but did not get a response. UPS return tracking #1Z82951W6873438454 shows item was delivered to them on 1/15 at 12:57 pm, signed for by Linda. I e-mailed again on 1/20 explaining in detail what happened, giving them my work and cell phone numbers and asking for a resolution. NetClearances did provide their phone number for me but I cannot afford to make an international phone call. On 1/22 NetClearances replied to my e-mail saying they hadn't received the item back. I responded with the info from the return tracking # and they replied saying they'd (NetClearances )check their warehouse again. This was 1/23 and I haven't heard back from them again despite sending six more e-mails to NetClearances.

On 1/30 I submitted a complaint with eBay. I haven't heard anything back from eBay. $145.50 is a lot of money for me. NetClearances has the item back and their dispute over the shipping damage is with UPS yet I paid the shipping costs. UPS will not give me any further information because of privacy laws and the shipper is their client. I hope somehow this can be resolved.

NETCLEARANCES AND LASZLO PARAKOVITS DONT "SCAM" ANYONE

AUTHOR: LASZLO - (Canada)

POSTED: Friday, September 03, 2004

Our firm Netclearances sells over 200000 items per year over the internet and through local auctions.

we sell liquidations and store returns and are very clear about all the products that we sell
in many cases for 80 to 90% less than retail prices.

The following is part of all our auction listings

"YOU MUST READ OUR TERMS OF SALE BEFORE BIDDING
All items that Netclearances sell on eBay appear to be in very good condition (unless we have indicated otherwise by a 1 or 2 box rating). Please be advised that the items for sale are store liquidations excess merchandise and consumer returns and there is a small chance that the merchandise is defective or may have missing parts. This site poses a degree of RISK for buyers and is not for every bidder. We want to be very clear and upfront about these items. The pricing on the auction site is reflective of the risk a buyer takes."

This person "Carlos" is referring to negative feedback on ebay. The 2500 number he refers to is
nagative feedback over a year that we have received.

He doesnt tell you that we also received 62000 positive feedbacks from over 30000 different customers.

He also doesnt say that many of the negative feedbacks have nothing to do with being scammed.
Many negatives involve comments like "had trouble contacting " "shipping was expensive" etc...
And frankly many negative comments are posted by people who are very new to the internet and have no merit whatsoever.

Of course when you ship hundreds of thousands of items there will be some with problems. For those with a legitimate problem ,There are at least 3 different ways of resolving a problem with us

1- We issue many credits and refunds on defective items. However many people dont bother trying to contact us or give us time before leaving a negative comment.

2- if a customer is unhappy with our response they can file a complaint with squaretrade which is an ebay sanctionned organisation and we respond to these on a weekly basis and will submit to arbitration in these cases.

3- the customer can submit a complaint to eBay and we are obligated to deal with these cases as well.

The above are legitimate ways of resolving problems .The comments by "Carlos" are biased
innacurate and false .These comments do not in any way reflect our business .
