I purchased a Netgear wireless (emphasis on wireless) print server from TigerDirect.com. I bought this print server because it had a rebate that would send you a wireless PCMIA card to make the server become wireless. When it came I only had a limited time to send in the rebate. I purchased the item on 6/23/03 and the rebate ended on 6/30/03. To my dismay the product didn't work. I called Netgear customer service and explained that the item didn't work I needed to return the item for a replacement but that I also needed to submit the rebate.

The gentleman at customer service told me to submit the rebate and gave me a RO number for tigerdirect.com. In addition he told me to tell tigerdirect why it was coming back with the box not in tact. Everything was fine and the product was replaced.

I waited 10 weeks before looking at wheresmyrebate.com. Seeing as the rebate for stated 6 to 8 weeks for fulfillment. When I checked the website the status was approved but not mailed. I called the toll number to get in touch with someone. When I finally got through the operator stated the rebate offer had been extended. I told her that it should not affect my rebate from being mailed out. She told me to check back in a few weeks.

Mid October 2003, I have not seen the PC card and called wmr.com and asked about the offer. They told me it had been sent and I should be getting it anyday now. I asked if they had a tracking number or something to check on the package. I was told by the operator that "I don't need you questioning me" and hung up on me. I immediately called back and asked to speak to a supervisor. I was questioned why I would need to speak to one. After repeating my request to speak to a supervisor the woman said she had just left. When I enquired when she would be back and if I could have her voicemail I was hung up on.

I called again in the beginning of December. I inquired about the pc card again and I was told it shipped November 23, 2003. I then said I was told it had shipped several times before that. The woman told me that there was a delay in shipping out the cards due to the rebate being extended and that I should have it in a couple of days. That they ship it in a lower class mail and takes longer to get to me. I asked when should I call back if I dont get it. I was assured I would have it by friday.

Friday came and went and I called back yet again. This time I was met with it has not been 60 days so there was nothing he could do. I called back in January 2004 on the day it would be 60 days from issue. I was then told that they would ship another pc card out to me that day. I waited a week called back. The woman answering the phone that time said there was no record of me calling and that one would be shipped out.

Two weeks later I called back...this time I was told I'd have to wait another 60 days. They verified my address and said that's where it was sent to. March I called back said they'd have to speak to their supervisor to see if another one could be mailed out. I asked to speak to this supervisor and was told she was on another line. When I told her I would hold, the response I got was she's terribly busy and they would not put me on hold for her. When I told them I wanted to leave my name and number and have her call me when she got off the line with whomever she was speaking with now I was hung up on. I called back that friday and was told it was already shipped earlier in the week. When I inquired what day it was shipped I was hung up on.

I called back in May 2004... almost a year after I had sent in the submission I was told I should have received it. They took my name and address again and said it will take 7 to 10 days. I still have yet to receive anything. I called today to be placed on hold for 20 minutes then hung up on.

I have gotten in touch with Netgear several time to tell them my dissatisfaction. I was given several case numbers and place to email only to not be heard from again.
