These SCUMBAGS sell bathroom remodeling and radiant barrier in Louisiana an Houston. The so called " Sales Manager" Jimmy Konzen with the emphasis on "CON" interview people for sales jobs and promise big money!! What they really do is VERY crappy work at ridiculous prices. They run the sales people all over the city at the employees expense and lie to them with outrageous promises of appointments that are "pre verified" The bathrooms they put in are the worse material and will not last a year.. Dont even think of working here or buying anything from these crooks. Dont let your parents or anyone you care about get a bathroom done by these idiots. The tubs leak, the installers are drug addicts so watch your valuables!!!. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! They took advantage of Katrina victims in their own state and now they are in Houston. I am not some sales person that couldnt cut it ,I feel obligated to tell others and protect the public. NEW BATH makes it better to use an outhouse!!

To Mr Larry Closs

Dear Mr. Closs,
If I may, I would like to add my 2 cents into your company. Firstly I met with your "recruiter" at a job fair here in Houston Texas and was intrigued by the suggestion of part time work using my extensive familiarity with building materials. I was given an appointment for a follow up for the next day at 10:30 am. Since I live across town I left my home to negotiate Houston traffic 45 minutes early, and arrived in the area at 10:22. Being unfamiliar with the area, I had to look for the entrance, putting my arrival in the door at precisely 10:30 am, At which time I was asked to take a seat.
While seated in the lobby I noted unkempt, unshaven representatives of your company wandering the offices, I then decided to occupy my few minutes with my phone doing some research on your company. I started with your website which seemed very professional and well-made and browsed through your list of services. After about 15 minutes of this I moved on to other sites, like this one. At first I noted the poor quality and misspellings and bad grammar that tends to accompany such rants, but, I was particularly disappointed in your response which, on the surface looks good and professional and yet delving into it your letter revealed a host of grammar errors and misspellings as well. Mr. Closs, you, as a professional misspelled appoinments (appointments), allegatations (allegations), addication (addiction), elederly (elderly), and Unfortunetly (Unfortunately), words that could easily be checked with a spell check program. This screams inadequate attention to detail, something that any building professional must have to be successful much less the representative to such a company.
At this point, I had waited in your lobby for 30 minutes, I found it unacceptable to waste 1 hour and 15 minutes of my time, I wrote a note and began to leave when your "recruiter" finally came out, I told her that I must leave, handed her back her materials and walked out during her excuse making process.
Mr. Closs, in 30 minutes I was able to determine that your company was not worth the time, your first impression was so bad I see no way of ever recommending MaxHome for these reasons:
1. The complete and utter disrespect of my time.
2. Employee unprofessionalism and appearance.
3. Your lack of attention to detail.
Please take the time to at least fix your letter as well as create an environment that looks professional and treats people professionally, even if they are "just looking for a job".
With Kindest Regards
Adam

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Rebuttal to Mr Larry Closs

Initially, I'd like to make it very clear that I also am an ex-employee who has witnessed, first hand, Mr Adam's rude and unacceptable treatment of elderly customers, and employees of this company.
Mr. Closs, you have not been privy to spending hours on end with Adam. Had you been a fly on the wall during one of Mr Adam's unacceptable outbursts, you may very well have a different opinion of this individual heading your company. It is what it is!
The following is my personal experience with New Bath / Max Home. I was offered employment with this company on the promise of making over a hundred thousand dollars my first year. I was assured of the quality of workmanship to follow my sales, and the many referrals I would receive as a result of the satisfied customers upon completion of bathroom restorations. This was simply not the case - ever! The work performed was, at best, below average and sometimes shoddy. The cost of the work was always way above market pricing. Moreover, the time frame to commence and complete said work was always delayed and not within the three weeks we were instructed to promise a customer. It is what it is!
As for the type of customers this company targets... considering the high pressure telemarketing campaigns it utilizes, most appointments were with elderly, retired individuals. Those individuals most at risk for falling prey to the golden tongue, high pressure salesmen tactics utilized by organizations such as New Bath / Max Home. It is what it is, Mr. Closs!
Needless to say, although I was indeed making above average income during my short stay with this company, after a few sales and heartbreaking dissatisfaction I was exposed to by the very customers I had hoped to improve the quality of their lives by renovating their bathrooms for better accessibility for them, I could not continue with this farce. IT IS WHAT IT IS!
Of course there are two sides to every story. As such, I have chosen to present the other side - based on personal experience and first hand exposure. I do this to provide an insider's experience for those of you considering contracting with New Bath / Max Home.
Best Regards.

Larry, Adam must have a strong hol on you, because your words are empty and are full of lies. You material that you and your compnay install are less than par. Your employees are rude and the ring is Adam Clifton. He is rude and yells at customers and his employees. This I have heard with my own ears. I know that Adam may have had a drug problem in the past, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is high all the time. I would never reccomend my dean grandmother to have a bathroom installed by your company. By the way I once was a customers who had to deal with Adam. He left me out our thousands of dollars and was extremly rude to me. You were of no help. So the question is.......what does Adam have on you??

Owners Rebutall to complaint

I find the complaint very disturbing. I think it is obvious that it comes from a sales consultant because they complain about the interviewing by sales manager and also discuss sales appoinments .
We stand behind our reputation which is evidenced by our BBB rating, our awards, our affiliation with Sams Club and our over 10,000 satisfied customers.
The Katrina comments are especially bothersome. We were both victims of Katrina and involved heavily in rebuilding the community afterwards.
I really don't want to comment on many of the allegatations from theft, employee drug addication to taking advantage of elederly people and poor materials because they are untrue and absurd. We have no issues with any of the above and I find them personally offensive.
It is clear to us who wrote this because we have very few sales consultants who are unhappy with us.
We can always be reached at 1-800-639-2284 and online at www.newbathnow.com.
Unfortunetly in the current digital world people can say whatever they want about a company with no proof whatsoever.
We welcome any questions
Thanks
Larry CLoss
