I replied to an add in the Globe gazzete for a carpet cleaning possition, i have a diploma for carpet cleaning from a technical college, the add said, " General carpet cleaners men and women, $400-600 weekly we train, 28 people needed call 641-424-4947. So i left a message, i was contacted 20 minutes latter by justin mcmillan who said he had a possition open , i was excited i have been out of work for a long time and i am desperate. So i went to the interview . Two other people were there , i struck up a conversation with a lady. She asked me if i knew anything about the possition , i said no, she told me she figured it was about selling vacum cleaners and that there was another add in the paper from the same company, that said "do you like loud music and working with the opposite sex", i said i saw that add ,Also she told me the guy doing the intrviews was a very fast talker a young man but he could sure talk fast.Then it was her turn to be interviewed so our conversation ceased. I filled out the application and proceeded to look around the area to see if i could tell what this was all about, i saw two boards one with names and some sort of point syatem, and a board with rewards on it like a free kirby to sell for your own profit and xbox and nintendo and playstation. It definately looked to be a sales position,i once worked selling ink cartriges to businesses over the phone in Montana and there was a similar rewards program in place there, so thats how i recognised that. Also there was magazines set out for kirby vacum cleaners and distributer type material. So i sat down and started reading while waiting,the other person waiting asked me if i knew what this was i said i thought it was to clean carpets general labor kind of thing , that is what he said he thoght too, he didnt speak english well so i told him i believed it was not what the add stated and was to sell vacumes . Well the lady i was talking to in the first came out and he went in, she told me what the thing was about roughly 12 hour days and $300 a week not $400 selling kirby. The man left the interview within minutes, my turn.12 hour days $300 weekly bonus 10 shows & 3 sales =$150 bonus 3 sales& $250.00 profit = $750 weekly profit $900 per week was the sales pitch. In an office with no phones computers or staff in his salvation army suit he proceeded to tell me of his $100,000 dollar a year possition and all the trips prizes and vacations i could get. No doubt in my mind from ripping off hard working people , the elderly, through racketeering and im sure extortion i dont want any part of this and i would hope i can get the word out not to be conned into working for them , this is a small Iowa town a college town, i should have never filled out the application , i am scarred now for myself and my children because these peple have my address and phone and i used family as refrences, my mom is retired and i dont want them harrasing her or any elderly person , please help to put a stop to this injustice.
