A week or so before Christamas 2013 I ordered an R?C car for my son as his "Santa gift". The car arrived and I charged it up and left it under the tree. Christmas morning at around 7:00 he opened the car, at 7:05 the car was SHOT! We could smell the motor cooking and hadn't even used a single charge off the battery!
Well, I wasn't happy, but I knew from reading the reviews that they were highly rated so I wasn't too worried...weeellll, I SHOULD HAVE BEEN!
I logged onto thier website the monday after Christmas. thier "help-line" was OFFLINE. I called both of the phone numbers I had for them and got busy signals for both. This routine went on EVERYDAY FOR A WEEK...SOLID! Help-line OFFLINE...phone...BUSY! 3, sometimes 4 times a day...NOTHING!
The following week I was starting to wear down...still an OFFLINE help-line and busy phones. By the 3rd week...well, life goes on (by this time the "warranty" was out but I didn't know it...yet) and I just checked once in a while to see if they were "on-line"....then in the fifth or sixth week THERE THEY WERE...ON-LINE! so, I logged on and chatted with a guy who said that they had been busy after Christmas, and I said: "EVERY DAY?" So,he told me that he couldn't help me and that they wouldn't call me back and I needed to try calling them AGAIN. NO LUCK until today, 2/25/2014 I GOT THROUGH, and was informed by some snotty-nosed tech that my warranty was up, and TOO BAD FOR ME!
So I yelled..."YOU EVER HEARD OF THE RIPOFF REPORT? YOU'LL BE ON IT!"
End of story so far.
Buy your R/C Cars locally or, at least, NOT from "Nitro RCX R/C Cars"
