On 2011-11-13, 1:32PMest No Limit Services placed the attached ad on Craigslist:

On Tue, Nov 15, 2011 at 12:38 PM, Because of my disability and lack of grocery money, I responded with reasons why I needed assistance.

On Mon, Nov 21, 2011 at 10:09 AM, No limit services asked: What city/area are you in?

On Wed, Nov 23, 2011 at 2:51 PM, I spoke with Joshua and another gentleman. I gave them my address. They stated they received many inquiries but would assist me and my family but don't know what time they would arrive and asked if I would be up. I said yes. My 11 year old son and I stayed up from the time I spoke with them 5:00am Thanksgiving morning waiting for #1. Them to show up or #2. A call. We didn't receive neither. I pulled out what I had in my freezer and cabinets, made a meal and basically cried all day. Their actions broke my heart because I trusted these people; their actions will not dampen my spirit about what I think about people! There are still good people in this world amongst those that have me asking: How do you sleep at night?!!!!!

Employee #3

AUTHOR: Siobhan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 21, 2011

I'll sum this up real quick to voice my opinion!  A scam doesn't necessarily involve money. She was deprived of a service! Once again, I am perplexed about what you claim she 'agree to employee #3?' I was there so I'll disregard your comment as nonsense as well! Who are you to make the determination of whether or not someone is destitute? The neighbors supplied her with what she needed to communicate. To answer your question.....she fired bologna and baked a few potatoes! And about her sleeping, she uses a sleep aid to help her sleep because she has insomnia due to her medication for depression. This was caused by the trauma sustained with her head injury! I was out of town so I couldn't have been much help plus she doesn't disclose to us if she has a problem. Some people are like that! Be mindful there are always three sides to a story. A little tad bit of info for all...sometimes there are people that would break their back working two jobs instead of seeking a government handout. She has raised 3 kids, worked two jobs, finished her Bachelor's at Montclair State University, cleaned, reviewed kids homework, house cleaned on the side as well, styled her daughter's hair every night (with hair to her butt), prepared her own homework, cooked and was basically a superwoman! NO ONE will to take that from her and I will not allow anyone to insult her and I commend her for all her accomplishments. When she was in a coma we didn't think she would live. We had a family/friends meeting to discuss our options; she was also on a ventilator! For the first 2 years (during her recovery period) she mostly slept. She has severe nerve damage on her left side and can't regulate the heat from her ankles down. She also had tubes everywhere! She never leaves the house! I'm sorry I'm getting emotional here but at least show some compassion! I pray God will continue to bless her because man usually fall short! All employees have a wonderful and joyous holiday. We are planning to surprise her (to recoup her loses of disappointment and embarrassment from the Thanksgiving tragedy) with an outstanding Christmas/New Years Eve shindig!  She is very much loved! Stay blessed!

#7 REBUTTAL Owner of company

GOOGLE didn't switch anything!

AUTHOR: Siobhan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 21, 2011

Robert, first and foremost, PLEASE re-read what she wrote! She spoke with two gentlemen prior to disbursement and she also gave them her address plus my home number via GOOGLE VOICE! So on THAT day....we didn't have an issue with the phone. Thanks for your investigative reporting but once again she already spoke with someone! So I'll personally shred that theory and toss it out to be recycled! She spoke with Joshua and then someone else that stated HE was familiar with the area and knew where she LIVED! HELLO!!!!! Can you hear me? Plus, the conversation was recorded! Recorded for verification and authenticity purposes for issues like this! Ok so you're completely missing the point; it happens! Don't feel the need to think your donors are the only people that donate! Throughout her career, she has help, fed, purchased furniture and clothed numerous people. I believe that's why she survived her accident because she has done PLENTY only to have someone slam the door shut in her face while being degraded and insulted. She even offered to help them clean someone's house for helping her. She felt that's the least she could do. I BET they didn't tell you that! She isn't POOR! NOTHING in life is free but compassion, consideration, love is a start are you following me? *speaking in a re-re tone yet slowly* D O  Y O U  U N D E R S T A N D  N O W? She just needed a little help and it's a shame the people on this thread fail to realize this and side with the donors/EMPLOYEES! You can name call, rant and rave all you want but the fact of the matter is, they never showed up; point blank; end of story! America is a great place for idiots like you! Please stay here they need more arse-holes like you to continue to destroy the economy with your right-wing attitude!  Thank you...thank you....hold the appluase! *bows then waves right hand* Love you all!

Setting the record straight!

AUTHOR: Siobhan - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 21, 2011

I am going to set the record straight about this issue and this is my last and only comment regarding this. Unfortunately people aren't willing to apologize for mistakes or issues that may arise. It's apparent to me that No Limit's employees are leaving comments. It's ok, someone had to slam the author right?!!! There are also a few other reports on this site as well so please review those at your leisure. I know Tammy is completely over this situation but in all fairness, I had to voice my opinion. Mrs. Stacey, Tammy didn't mention this but she actually lives with a mutual friend and the friend was out of town for the holiday. We help her with some of what she need as well as internet service etc. because, as she stated in her email to "said donors" she had a very hard year and felt as if the ad pertained to her so she responded. NEVER talk the talk unless you have walked the walk in someone else's shoes. Maybe your priorities are misplaced.....takes one to know one....sorry Pee Wee Herman moment. Once again as she stated before, she had a brain aneurysm (which many people don't survive) and her ex is totally out of the picture! But nonetheless, she will persevere regardless! Yet, I agree to disagree about 'what bargain' you claim she didn't hold up to. People perceive issues differently. But I'll tell you this....If I cooked a meal for 4 people I will most certainly ensure of its arrival! I'm sure you've had a few moments in time where you (if given the change) would retrace your steps to do things much differently!

No good deed goes unpunished!

AUTHOR: Robert - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 02, 2011
The number they had was a Google number which rung both my cell phone and my home phone (simultaneously). Once again, I did not receive a call from them! Stop trying to cover up a mistake.....It happened!

I believe it happened, but have you even for a moment considered that the difficulty was with Google Voice?  There is a Wikipedia article that explains a problem with call forwarding.  You can read it here:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Voice

Here is an excerpt:  "As of November 2011 users were experiencing several issues with Google voicemail picking up a call before the call forwarding could be completed. Calls may take well over 4 rings to be connected and this causes Google voicemail to intercept the call."

In other words, you ingrate, they attempted to call you and Google Voice most likely switched it to voice mail.  It is appropriate that they attempted to contact you before actually dispatching someone to your home with the free food-this is necessary to set up an exact time period so that you're actually home to receive the food when the driver arrives.

Only in America, is the promise of a freebie not fulfilled considered a ripoff.  I believe they attempted to contact you to arrange the delivery of the food.  It is very likely that Google Voice switched the call to voice mail-this is NOT their fault.  You didn't get a freebie and in typical "entitlement mentality" you go on the internet defaming the company for the PERSONAL actions of the owners.

If I were you, I'd post a retraction/apology-and I'd be quick about it.

If I were any of the people involved with dealing with you I would take you off any lists for free anything.

You clearly did not do what you agreed to and you deserve no pity.

Besides that, Stacey is correct, you don't very destitute to me and you managed to make a dinner anyway.

How do you sleep at night?

You can afford a cell phone, a home phone and internet access but you cannot afford a Thanksgiving dinner??? Sounds like your priorities are somewhat misplaced. I agree with the responder - you did not hold up to your end of the bargain.

#2 Author of original report

I WILL NOT retract anything!

AUTHOR: Lovely tammy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 01, 2011

I was going to write a lengthy rebuttal but I'll just say this:

I understand you're upset now you see how I was on Thanksgiving day! You're right No Limit wasn't named but I traced the number I received the call from! If you read my original post correctly it said: #1. I gave the person I spoke with my address. He said he was familiar with the area and frequented the Walmart near my home so I really didn't think there was confusion there! #2. The telephone conversation was recorded as is all my calls. #3. I assumed it was a scam because, like I said previously, I never received a response.

I initially considered this opportunity a scam because they never visited nor called. The number they had was a Google number which rung both my cell phone and my home phone (simultaneously). Once again, I did not receive a call from them! Stop trying to cover up a mistake.....It happened! First you said no one answered then you said the calls went straight to voice mail. Whichever the case, we still didn't receive a dinner!

I accept your apology but I would like for you to know that I looked like a complete idiot (I'm being very nice here) in the eyes of my children! Point blank no if an or butt's about it!

We live and we learn but communication is the key and I hope you learned something from this as I did! I bid you farewell and wish all the best of luck. Prior to my accident I gave tremendously but not to the point where I'd NEVER show up! I still can't believe it! But I will continue to give. It's so very important to give back to the community and not leave people......hanging! That's just inconsiderate.

#1 UPDATE Employee

NOT a scam. Read...

AUTHOR: NoLimitServices - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 29, 2011

Dear Poster,

Let's start by making a few corrections:

1.  No Limit Services does "not" scam anyone in anyway.  You were one of three people who were chosen by the Owner and his family, ...*Not*... our company, to receive a free Turkey dinner.  Again, this offer had nothing to do with No Limit Services.  You were not called upon or introduced to as people from NLS.   The ad stated a Family was looking to sponsor a family for Thanksgiving day. It stated they were blessed, and wanted to pay it forward.  This had nothing to do with the company NLS in anyway, so please retract your RipOff statement if you wish to avoid further action for slandering a companies good name for no reason.

2.  The Owners family made contact with you once, and tried calling 3 additional times to get correct address for you, no one answered your phone so there was no way to deliver your dinner.

The meal was prepared, and ready to be brought to you, but again, the number we had for you went right to voicemail with no return calls.

I'm not sure why you would list this as a scam from No Limit Services ... please show where in the ad it stated that No Limit Services was involved? This was the owners being generous.

You made no attempt to reach them during Thanksgiving as they were awaiting your call in order to get your correct address.  This is something the Owners do annually, but situations like this make them think twice, all because you failed to make contact before going off and making false accusations.

We do apologize for the situation, but had no way of finding out your address as we called the only number we had for you to arrange for the dinner to be delivered.

Again, retract this rip off report, otherwise await to hear from our legal department.  You were never offered anything from No Limit Services.  This was an offer directly from the owners personally. ..in which they were prepared to deliver your meal, but could not make contact with you.
