I believe North American Auto Sales to be a SCAM. naautosales.com
I placed an ad for my almost new car in various classifieds. Jessica contacted me describing their services, how I would get the full amount I was asking, and saying that they had multiple people interested in buying it and it would be sold within 2 weeks.
My first thought was it was a scam, as they wanted 500 bucks upfront for their advertising services. I pretty much told them no I wasn't falling for it. She sent me an email with all the info, and their "money back guarantee", I let my husband read it, we couldn't find anything on the internet about it being a scam. The guarantee seemed great on paper, that we would get our money back etc. I called the lady back and went through with it.
First of all, it is GRUELING trying to get a hold of someone. When you do get in contact with them, you are told lies and rushed off the phone. Jessica told me on the phone that the guarantee lets you cancel their services for the refund within 90 days for ANY reason (if I sold it myself, got into an accident, etc). I called atleast once a week to check on progress, every time given an excuse why it had not sold yet. People had always "applied for financing" and didn't get it, or they got it but disappeared etc.
My 90 days was coming up fast, and there was no way I wasn't going to get my refund and take off. I figured, like anyone else, that they would just refund the money to my credit card upon me asking for it. I WAS WRONG! First I had to get emailed the refund forms. Upon reading this I found that I dont get my $500 back, I only get 375! Their reason is that they charge $125 to purchase the guarantee. It also says that refunds are processed in 6-8 weeks and you get MAILED A CHECK. The refund forms are ridiculous, they ask you for certified documents saying that you DIDN'T sell your car- Which dont exist! I contacted my bank, insurance etc and they sent me any paper they could think of that might help. Even the FINANCE COMPANY said the documents they asked for dont exist. Either way I had a ton of proof it was my car and sent what I had with the papers. I get to the end of the 2 page form and see that I have to TAKE IT SOMEWHERE TO GET NOTARIZED! I didn't have to get anything notarized when I gave them my 500 dollars, but apparently I did now. Needless to say I was on a mission and did every ridiculous thing they asked. On the form it says to mail it to them, certified mail, but NO WHERE is there an address for this place. It took me a day to get a hold of someone- and only after I pushed the extension on their phone service for "I want to advertise my vehicle". The man I spoke to said they no longer have a mailing address for their refund department, and had me scan it all and email it. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVEN'T SEEN A CHECK YET!
Either they really do try and provide a service, and they are terrible at it, or this is a big scam and they get $125 dollars from everyone who signs up, or the full $500 from people who wont jump through hoops to apply for the refund. Either way, STAY AWAY!!!!!!

Update to my post about NAAS NAAUTOSALE.COM

I want to start this addition by saying that the presentation of my original review may have been exaggerated due to the horrific experience I've had with these people. While the presentation may have been dramatic, all the facts are true.
The day before my 8 weeks (the refund period takes 6-8 weeks) was up, I called to check on my refund. It took me a few calls to get through, but eventually a man answered. When I asked about my refund I was confronted about my posting on this website. They said they knew it was me from my IP address- which is a complete lie. You cannot get any personal information from ripoffreport.com. They must have matched my horror story to their experiences with me. They believe my posting is defamation of their business, even though while we were on the phone he specifically said - Youre only posting our policies why would you even post at all?. We were on the phone for about 20min, and the man I was speaking to got louder and ruder as we went on.
Now onto my refund. The refund forms I sent in and had notarized specifically said refunds take 6-8 weeks or less. When I ask about my refund he said that he "had no idea" when I would get it (again it had already been 8 weeks), and that it "would go out with the next batch for my state" but he had no idea when that would be. BUT AFTER I was told that once I remove this posting, I will get my refund the same day. I was not removing it, as EXTORTION is no way to do business. I did however want my money back, so they made me write an email agreeing that as soon as my refund was processed I would remove my posting. I agreed to get to my money. What do you know, now they all of a sudden knew when I would be getting my refund- that day.
Once my refund was processed I logged on here to find out that I have no authority to remove any posts. I emailed customer service to ask to have it removed and explained the situation- needless to say they would not remove it.
Now I have this rude man emailing me telling me they will be taking legal action for "defamation", when truthful reviews fall under freedom of speech. They will also be taking legal action because according to them- I also agreed to post a POSITIVE review about them. Go back and read the emails, I would never say anything positive about them. I have only had terrible experiences and extortion will not force me into lying.
All in all I did eventually get my refund, but who knows if I ever would have seen my money if it wasnt for having some leverage with my posting on this website.
