North Star Ranch North Point Logistics BAD COMPANY FOR DRIVERS Howell Michigan

I hired into this company in January of 2014, I was informed about the "performance bond" and was told I would be paid .33 cents per mile off the Odomoter. I left out on a tuesday, and they had me back in yard on Friday to "check" my paperwork. I did a whole whopping 1000 miles in those 4 days avg of 250 miles per day.

The next week I was given "a good" load of a measly 797 miles. I had noticed that my odomoter was not reading correctly and informed my dispatch who then informed me, well we don't pay off odomoter we pay off the computer.. We arn't going to pay you to drive around in circles. I asked what was the sense of doing all the odomoter mile statements on our trip envelopes then if we are paid off the computer? Hummm, maybe so if your actual milage doesn't match "their" computer miles they can deduct those miles from your pay?

I hired in to be a "regional" driver, only out for 7-10 days before going home, on my 10th day I came into yard and asked about my home time I had to wait nearly an hour so my dispatcher could ask the "big boss" if I could go home.. I was given the permission, but this should of been a non-issue as a regional driver. I was also told I had to put on qualcomm a 2 week advance request for home time even though I was suppose to be a regional driver. 

Every trip I had was short overnight, only averaging maybe 300 miles a day, and any trucker out there can tell  you, can't make a living like that. 

I was lucky as I was able to secure a local position when I was home for time off, and smart enough to get my first paycheck in my hand before I handed back over the keys.. furthermore,  When I got my first check,  of 153.00 I noticed I was only paid .31 cents per mile.. They lie to your face, and will stab you in the back every opportunity they get. I was also told when I quit that my last check would be "held" towards the "performance bond" and I would get in 30 days.. Of course I realize from all I learned after I started working there, I will NEVER see that money. 

So drivers if you want to make miles, get your home time and make a paycheck, DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY>>>>
