Northcentral University I started at Northcentral in 2011 and achieved ABD as of 4/2015. I got sick and my mother was sick. I take care of my 90 year old mother. We both had major surgeries and all sorts of health issues for past two years. I asked for extended leave and was denied.  California

I started in 2011 and achieved ABD as of 4/2015. I got sick and my mother was sick. I take care of my 90 year old mother. We both had major surgeries and all sorts of health issues for past two years.  I asked for extended leave and was denied. They dismissed me as of 12/2017 from my program. I thought at the time I enrolled we had 8 years to complete but all documentation recently says 7.  Either way, I should have been allowed to stay in my program until this summer of 2018.  My current chair did absolutely nothing for two years.  I asked for leave of absence and also applied for ADA. I was granted no accommodation under either FLMA or ADA law.
