I trusted the famous name branded all over everything and apparently it is Jeff Chavez that has full responsibility to pay me the money back he owes me which is $5500.00 plus interest.
I signed up with his Executive Coaching Program and Miracles Coaching and less than half way through the plug was pulled and no more coaching for me. I paid $10,000.00 loan up front to get ahead in my business and was left to dangle.
I am a single Mom trying to make a better life for my kids and I have been taken advantage of. I have an Email where Jeff states he owes me this money and when he would not follow a simple request of sending an I owe you via snail mail on letter head to help put me at ease i became uneasy instead. He simply refused saying the email would hold up in court.
I feel sick to my stomach.
I was more than fair as I gave him a year to prove what kind of a man he really is and he decided to ignore all my emails. It has been 14 months and still nothing. Looks like the government is investigating him now, so I am told by a phone call today of an investigating 3rd party of scams like these.
This is going to really compromise everything for me and my family. Actions speak louder than words and it does not seem that Jeff Chavez is a man of integrity it turns out. I guess you will meet your waterloo?
I hope somehow I will get back my money he owes me and I will continue to move forward regardless. I have big dreams in helping others and I am not going to let someone who dwells in lower vibrational consciousness get me down. Even though another company called Fortune
Learning Systems aka ICI Success has also been shut down and taken my money with it because I needed a website built for $8000.00 and got no service. So beware everyone!
People need to realize standing in your truth is the new paradigm shift and lying does not work in the new world. We all need to help each other out to raise the vibration of this planet. After all we are all on this one planet earth together.
Commit to speaking your own truth from now on, it makes for a better world.
Think globally and not just for yourself Jeff Chavez.

Jeff Chavez, where ever you are...?
AUTHOR: Kat - (United States of America)

This is how it feels to me Jeff, like you tried to save your business with the hefty $10,000.00 loan that I had to take out in order to join. Like it was one big ditch effort to try and save yourself with other peoples funds.
I have spoken to many entrepreneurs in their integrity and they say that they would never of qualified me into their program, like the one you were all too happy to sign me on for. I was very clear that it was all new to me and I wanted a coach to hold my hand and take me step by step, so I could understand how to build my dream into a flourishing business that would help many.
I have a dream to do my part in making the world a better place. It is a deep calling that I feel coming from my core knowing. I know many people have this calling within them too because it is evolutionary for our growth and survival as human beings and to do what we love.
It is essential that we cooperate and work together for the next step in evolution. There are many people out there that will try and take advantage of your big and beautiful heart, just wanting to do your part in making this world a better place to live.
So be aware! This is why I wrote this report because I do not want what has happened to me to happen to you. This has not been a very fun experience at all. This experience has brought me to my knees a few times. I am a single mom with 2 children and lost my job a year ago.
We cannot keep shooting our spaceship because it will not fly. We are on this beautiful planet Earth together and starting with telling the truth within ourselves first is imperative for the big awakening and the Renewal of the Human Spirit, which I believe is what 2012 is all about.
Your Executive Coaching Program Jeff Chavez, taught being responsible first and foremost. This is very powerful around the energy of money. Being in your integrity and being honest with yourself, is as well.
Money has been my greatest spiritual teacher in teaching me these very powerful truths. To thine self be true and the truth will set you free are Universal truths! I will be the first to place an announcement that you came through with integrity. So hopefully you are on this track of being true to your word and this will be the case?
Until then, all of this is what it is, in this moment.
Sincerely,

He is MIA

Jeff may have made a CEO salary at some point, but not a big one. He doesn't have much money. I think we was pretty much broke. So, I don't think he's holding back money. I think he doesn't have any.
He has several lawsuits against him. He doesn't defend himself, so anyone who sues him "wins" the case. Winning is easy. Collecting is difficult. I say give it a shot though. Don't expect him to do a "make good" and ever pay you back. He lied to all of you and would only continue to do so.
Maybe this will help:

Same boat... different day.

I'm in the same boat as you Kat....
I have an email from January 2009 with Jeff stating he will refund the $6,500 he owes me for failure to deliver the coaching program that was promised.
I did receive a second response from him a couple of months later when I had emailed him again asking nicely for an update. He was agitated that I had asked again, stating that there was no reason to send an update saying he still could not pay.
I have tried many times since then to reach him via email, twitter, and/or facebook... always pure silence from his end - zero response.
I would be willing to participate in a class action suit to recoup my money plus interest (plus compensation for the frustration of dealing with someone who claims to stand in high integrity but does not)

Does Anyone Know How To Reach Jeff Chavez?
AUTHOR: Kat - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, October 09, 2012
It has been over 3 years now since Jeff Chavez and I first communicated and he said he had every intention of paying me back the money he owes me. I cannot reach him once again.
I have been more than patient and it would be such a different story if he kept in touch with me and gave me an update and once in a while sent me some money in payments from his fat CEO paycheck. So far nothing.
Actions speak louder than words, Jeff Chavez!
If anyone knows how to reach Jeff Chavez please post it here. Thank you.
Is there anyone else that is in the same boat as I, where Jeff Chavez states he is going to pay back the money he owes and then disappears without a trace and not a penny paid?
Maybe there is a class action suit here?
I do not know about you but I am tired of being the fool.
Jeff Chavez, if you want this resolved then you might want to contact me? This is your last chance to make it right. This is not right and Kat is fed up! Please contact me Jeff Chavez as soon as possible please!

Expect nothing from him

You will never see a dime from him, I am sorry to say. You are being misled int believing he actually cares about refunding you. He has no intention of it, as he has no integrity. I wish this wasn't the case. It's worth fighting for though, so consider a small claims court suit or continuing filing reports.

No Refund... No Word...
AUTHOR: Zelda - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, November 13, 2011
I paid $8000 for a Jeff Chavez/NorthStar Ventures program but received very little of the program before the big company collapse happened. After 2+ months of attempting to contact the company and finding dead email addresses and disconnected phone numbers I finally reached Jeff Chavez. He apologized for the problems and told me his intention was to refund everyone who had paid for programs that they either did not finish or flat out did not receive.
Several months went by and I contacted him again asking for the status of a refund. Here was his last email reply back to me, "In my email to you a couple months ago I explained that it would take many months to address this. I dont plan on sending a note on a regular basis explaining to a whole host of people that...your refund is still not on its way.... Rather, these folks have sort of set this all aside hoping and trusting that someday, a check will arrive or some payments will arrive, and they will. But the timetable is absolutely unknown. Thats the honest reality here. In the meantime I am hard at work to rebuild several businesses...literally from scratch...as I have done three times before. And I will be successful. But please be patient with the fact that I cannot provide regular updatesI just dont have the bandwidth. I have clearly assured my commitment to the refund, I dont believe I need to re-state that commitment over and over again my commitment will not change."
The last email I received from Jeff Chavez was in April 2010.... Over a year and a half later, I still have not heard a word back from Jeff. If he is truly intending to stand by his word, at the very least it would make sense for him to stay in touch with people instead of allowing complaints on Ripoff Report to accumulate.

My question to the original writer is: Did you get your refund, yet? In his rebuttle, Mr. Chavez suggests he is looking into possibly correcting this, but he didn't say if this has actually happened.
I have also been waiting for a refund and have yet to hear back on how or IF this will take place based on my initial request.

No pay for employees
AUTHOR: rsk2021 - (United States of America)

Not only did plenty of clients fail to get their proper refunds, but Jeff Chavez also held back on paychecks to employees that they earned through hours of hard work. Chavez continued to promise these paychecks but fell months behind and has still never paid these months of back paychecks.
Furthermore, he has already moved on to new ventures that will likely be guilty of the same problems.

Not An Accurate History...
AUTHOR: Northstar71 - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, May 18, 2011
Despite our best efforts, in 2009/2010 we had to close the doors of Northstar Ventures. We served thousands of clients and I have reviewed all of our internal records, finding no record of a former client named "Kat" nor any correspondence as described in this "rip-off" report. This site makes it very difficult to distinguish between any random or malicious complaint vs. a legitimate consumer problem.
All of our former clients have had access to my email and I have been in touch with individuals now, even over two years later, who have had any remaining questions, concerns or updates about past refund negotiations. I have remained accessible and responsive to all who have reached out to me.
In the interest of the accurate history associated with this situation: when I ran Northstar from 2003-2009, we served over 6,000 clients. In 2008 we ran into a major financial
problem stemming from a key marketing partner who had to go out of
business. When this happened our sales leads stopped and we never recovered, despite the efforts of over 50 dedicated employees and investors. At
the time we tried to negotiate with all of our remaining clients who had
paid over $5,000 for our coaching. 99% of them accepted our refund
negotiations and were very appreciative that we even made the effort to do
so. In the end we had sorted through over $3mm in
refunds...INSTEAD of walking away under a bankruptcy...which legally, we
could have done. But like I said, there were literally a handful...from
thousands, who were not satisfied and who we could not appease fairly.
This period was extremely challenging and I am personally pleased with the way I managed that terribly
difficult situation. To only have a handful of complaints...is something I am grateful for. Had we ignored the concerns of our clients, it would have been much worse for everyone involved. We did everything in our power to appease the legitimate concerns and problems that our company failure caused some individuals. It was a difficult time for many people involved.
These negative situations represent an extremely small glimpse of anything to do
with Northstar. What isn't represented here are the
thousands and thousands of happy clients who worked with our truly amazing
and caring team of business coaches. Northstar was an amazing company. We
simply got caught in the major economic downturn of 2008/2009. We did everything possible to close the company carefully and fairly. I am
absolutely certain we did so.
If this person, "Kat" is for real. I am easily accessible. Please...Kat, if you are for real, contact me so we can assess and resolve your situation. Here is an additional private email that you can use to reach me: jchavez.nsv@gmail.com
