Norwood Group Ripoff thieves do not return calls breach of contract do not attempt to do business with Miami Florida

The Norwood Group is be a locating company that is supposed to help you find retail locations for whatever products you want to place. We contracted with the Norwood Group, Inc. on November 11, 2004 to find us 45 locations in Miami for our candle displays.

They promised us that before Christmas we would have at least 30 displays placed, and by early January, we would have all 45 placed. It is now February 20th, and we have exactly 18 locations.

They also promised us that they would find us locations that would sell, on average, 3 candles per day. Not a single location is producing that many. Most of our locations have gone weeks without producing any sales.

The locators that they have are a joke. The first locator they gave us didn't even find a single place. The next was a crook, who confided in me that he had a criminal record. The third was as bad as the second. The fourth locator was a guy who was from "out of town" but he knew the Miami area. He demanded that we pay him 50% of his fee up front, site unseen. Of course, we didn't pay him a dime, because he would have just disappeared with no trace. The last locator found us 7 locations, then dissappeared, phone disconnected, after payment.

Of course, we've tried to call Norwood, but they do not return calls, much like International Candle Corporation. (We've also filed a complaint against them).

I hope anyone out there that's thinking of doing business with these scam artists will read this and reconsider. If anyone who has already been scammed by these people is interesed in trying to get their money back, we'd be more than willing to give whatever help and support we can.
