I was sent a check for 3,780.00 as response to an on-line survey interest in aditional income.

Everything seemed to be on the up and up, but what caught my eye was that the letter was from a marketing group in New York and the Check was from a gas and electric company in Baltimore, Maryland. I tried to google the marketing company (NOVA CO INC) but couldn't find anything on them.Then I googled the gas and electric company and found they are liget. I tried to contact them but they were closed since it was a Saturday.

1. I was to deposit if into my bank account.
2. Training part 1: Take $100.00 and go on a shopping spree at HOME DEPOT, GAP, J.C. PENNY, WALMART, K-MART and SEARS or LOWES.
3. Training part 2: Western Union or money gram $3,200.00 to training agents SHAWN MCDONALD IN BRENTWOOD NY, MARY MORGAN IN HOWARD BEACH NY AND FELIX PAIN IN BROOKLUN NY.

1. Probation training pay $100.00/hour X 3 $ 300.00
2. Required fund to be transferred $3,200.00
3. Service charges $ 180.00
4. Funds needed for shopping $ 100.00

After this training period my salary will go up to $450.00 a week for the first three months (3), and additional increase to $650.00 per week after six months of working for (S I).
Total $3,780.00

Needless to say I didn't fall for this and I'm sending this report in hopes that it will keep someone else from falling prey to this type of scam.
