At the time of this report, a charge of $8.97 from NTT*FITM8.NET 888-551-2840FL has shown up twice on my credit card statement. The first time was 2/12/2018 and I thought it may have been for a purchase I'ld forgotten to record. When it showed up again on 3/25/2018 I knew something was wrong since I would not have forgotten any purchase with a recurring charge.
My research indicates the charge is probably for a subscription related to the FITM8.NET website however, the phone number 888-551-2840 gets me to an automated sales center where "I'm qualified for free products or money for which you have to either press "1 to learn more" or "press # for ..." everything else. After the third offer and subsequently pressing # , the call was automatically cut off.
The behavior of this call indicates it probably is some kind of marketing scam and that FITM8.NET may be a victim as well.
Currently, my bank is looking into the matter and will get back to me. I'll update the report when they complete their investigation.
