NuCore Flooring Floor and Decor Defective Vinyl Plank Flooring, Company Will Not Honor Warrantee Jacksonville Florida

I purchased 48 boxes of Nucore Glacier White for the renovation project at my house. The project was delayed, as construction often is, and we finally installed March 2018. After installing half of one bedroom, the installer called me to tell me the floor was defective and not “snapping together.” The locking ridges were literally disintegrating in his hands. I packed up what wasn’t already installed and exchanged it at Floor & Decor in Jacksonville. The clerk was more than helpful and said this isn’t the first time she’d seen this problem.

The remaining floor was installed. The installer was concerned with the quality of the product but said he’d install it anyway. Within a few days, the seams were coming apart in over 30 places. He returned and tried using wood putty in the separating seams so the defects weren’t visible. Within a few weeks, the seams separated again in the same places as well as many more. It’s literally everywhere. 

He stands behind his installation as he's been working in flooring for 24 years. There is absolutely no way this floor is waterproof as there are gaps at the seams where the locking ridges have fallen apart. 

Floor and Decor sent out a private inspector who reported the exact same: The seams were not interlocking and glue had been used to hold the seams together. The company denied the claim. 

This product is supposed to have a lifetime warrantee. I paid $3344 in product cost, $1250 in installation of flooring and another $1,000 for baseboard and cabinet paneling installation that had to be done after flooring install. 

This vinyl plank is a terrible product. Besides having a faulty locking system, it scratches easily and feels like plastic ... but that's the least of my concerns at this point.
