NuU Medspa NuU Just As Bad To Employees as They Are to Customers Paradise Valley Arizona

I know this website is dedicated to warning consumers about fraudulent companies, but I felt compelled to write a letter about the company that I worked for. NuU Medspa is not only deceptive and cruel to their existing and potential customers, they are equally horrible to their employees. Their main goal is money money money. We were advised as employees to sell, sell , sell and if we did not close a deal we would get grilled on why we did not get the sale. We would be asked to keep calling the client after our initial consultation talk them into buying a package. "Telll them everything you can to get them to buy." If customers were not satisfied with treatments, we were advised to talk them into feeling like they were wrong and stupid and would absolutely not give them a refund unless they made a big fuss. Long time, reliable employees got fired because they were not selling enough- even though the economy and NuU's horrible reputation are to blame for some of those poor sales.

In addition to misleading the customers, I was promised certain things upon hire. I was promised helath insurance after 3 months for my family- which I NEVER got after 6 months. I was promised a raise- never got it. I was promised 24-32 hours per week- which turned into 10 by the time I left. I was moved to a location 55 miles from my house without my agreement becaused they shift their employess all over the place without any regard to where the employee lives- or where he/she signed up to work for. The worst thing of all is that my paycheck was frequently late or completely wrong, and I was a pest for asking for it and causing a fuss. They would pay me out of different accounts everytime so my YTD was never right. They would even give me live checks since they would not pay their paycheck company on time. My last paycheck was short. Their corporate headquaters never return calls or e-mails regarding employee matters. The owner, Norm Valine, was in trouble for starting a medspa before and ripping people off. He just keeps opening new ones in different names.

They do not have a state cosmetic license, nor do they practice their laser treatments in compliance with the ARRA. They have an LPN, not an RN, as their lead nurse and trainer- which is practicing outside her scope. Their medical director does not have enough knowledge to be teaching employees how to do treatments safely. She herself has scarred many patients.

Simply put: do not go there for treatment, do your reseearch and find a place that has all their licenses intact and an MD as the medical director and an RN licensed laser technicians to do the treatments.
