OAN - Telseven Ripoff Fraudulent Telephone billing Texas

After screening my Verizon phone bill, I found two Directory Assitance calls to Nevada as follows:

I called Verizon and they recoursed the billed amount (sent the bill back to the company). Then they put a block on all outside phone agencies from billing me through the Verizon bill (an apparent easy way for their bogus charges to get overlooked).

Then I finally got hold of a young woman at the company who called themselves OAN (Operator Assistance Network) who said their company was in Texas and was not the company that was apparently billing me. But my bill said: Billed on behalf of Telseven, LLC.

If that was the case than why would this woman have info on the charges and why would they waste their time talking to me? I was briefly confused and finally came to the realization that I was probably getting blown off.

I guess the company stands to make plenty of illicit money from folks who may not screen the bill for small cahrges like these.

No one in my home knows anyone in Nevada and no one is planning a trip there. I say, watch your phone bill! If this happens contact your phone company.
