Ocean Legends Hawaii The Worst Scuba Dive Company in Honolulu, Hawaii

The PADI Discover Scuba excursion started at 9am and ended around 3pm. What they don't disclose to you at the time of purchase is half of the time is for registration, an hour long instructional class, wetsuit/gear fitting, driving to the marina, and loading the boat. Ocean Legends doesn't have their own boat so they charter a boat with many different scuba groups. This was also not disclosed prior to purchase. The boat is overly crowded and appears to be close to exceeding the maximum weight capacity of persons and gear. There there wasn't enough room for everyone to sit. The boat was not organized. In addition to being jam-packed, the employees/instructors from the different groups were impatient and condescending.

Improper scuba equipment: masks were broken and customers were provided with ill fitting masks that caused face rash. Regulator had bite marks from another diver and was partially broken.

The instructor had a difficult handling my large group of 5 divers, and when one person had a problem he couldn't focus on resolving their issue while making sure the other people in the group were ok. This was a safety concern. He added to much weight to my BCD Vest and once he let all the air out I sank to the bottom of the ocean floor. This was another safety concern as I was instructed to avoid the ocean floor as there were many sea urchins. I had a hard time swimming with the extra weight and I quickly became fatigued. When I swam to the top I told the BCD was too heavy and he didn't believe me. The said you're suppose to be at the bottom and you haven't even reached it. So we went back down into the ocean, and he swam off to locate the other divers.

Ultimately, I was scolded because the group was too large and he exclaimed he couldn't save us all. Ocean Legends practices unethical behavior and the poorest level of customer satisfaction. They do not make the safety of their customers a priority and do not address the genuine concerns of beginner divers.
