Ocwen Federal Bank FSB bad business practices ripoff consumer fraud ripoff los angeles California

We know all too well what you are going through with this company. Last year we fell behind on our sept and october payments. I called and asked to enter into a forbearance agreement or some sort of help. They weren't so nice when I asked for help on how to fill the paper work out either or asked info about it. Anyhow...we started into a forbearance plan in November and kept our payments up until January when another company took funds from our checking acct. and left us dry.

We explained this to Ocwen and they didn't care. Our house payments are 402.01 a month. The following paycheck week we sent in the payment that was due for January. In the meantime, while waiting and checking to see when in the hell they were going to get it, we received default papers from Moss, Colidis, or whatever that incompetent firm is called and told that $2,400.00 was now due. FOR WHAT??? We still aren't sure.

Two months past due would put us at 804.00 under the forbearance that would be due. Keep in mind I requested numerous times to have the forbearance copy mailed to me and finally received it at the end of January. Don Sweat at Moss, Colidis,etc....never returned our calls and denied us ever leaving voice mail. Ok I thought. So...we found a lawyer. He heard back from them once (Don Sweat) and questioned the charges.

Ok. Just yesterday my lawyer spoke with another one of Ocwens attorneys and they mailed us papers saying we owe 866.00. Our forbearance stated we owed 1777.00 for two months of payments!!! All these charges are pathetic and outrageous. If we are being charged for legal fees....and for what I don't know...then call us!!!!! Talk to us!!!!

So we are looking into legal action, filing complaints with the FTC, BBB, and our state attorney general. Also look up the better business bureau web site on Ocwen. We found they have a non-satisfactory report with them as well. This is a confusing post to write so to make it shorter: We mailed payments to Ocwen and it took one payment 3 weeks for them to cash and post to our account!!!!

The post office said it takes about 3 days to get there from our home. They were right. They are purposely holding the checks people!!!! BELIEVE IT!!! They seem to target and hold payments of the "slow payers". It's easy for them to say we never got it or maybe it's lost in the mail but when you send it certified what can they claim then? Here's advice. Have an attorney call and request all your payment history. To add to that request all calls you have made to Ocwen. Yes..they keep this record. It's all so difficult to explain this way but Ocwen is really screwing people over. There is no polite way to explain it. I wish there was a way for us all to communicate by email or phone but I notice it say's below not to include email addresses here.
