I cannot believe I have been reading all of these stories regarding Ocwen and Moss Codillis with forbearance and foreclosure. It is like reading about my personal nightmare.

My husband and I were in a car accident in 2001, we were hit head on and barely survived, since then, we have had problems getting our house payment on time, but have had our accident lawyer talking with them to keep our house from being foreclosed. Unfortunately, he is NOT a real estate attorney and has not been very successful with working things out in our favor. Even though Ocwen is aware of our upcoming settlement, they have made it virtually impossible for me to be able to comply with the forebearance agreement. My payment started out at $500 and is now $815, all of the bogus attorney fee's from Moss Codillis, is eating away at the equity I have in the house.

I could go on but it makes me sick. I guess I am not the only one. I do not know what to do. I live in a small town and do not have many attorney's to choose from, especially one who doesn't want an arm and a leg up front. I didn't know their was a class action suit against Moss Codillis.

I wish I could refinance but I haven't been able to pay my other bills because of the house payment and our credit is not good. Can anyone recommend a lawyer I can use long distance?

Thanks.

#13 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I hated Ocwen while I worked there, pressure that is put on the employee is immense

AUTHOR: Tiffany - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, June 20, 2004

First of all, I feel bad for anyone who has had there loan sold to Ocwen. The company is very corrupt and everything you read about them is true. I only worked there for 4 months but believe me, by the time that four months was up, I was a basket case. The amount of pressure that is put on the employee is immense. The equipment is second rate and support from the supervisory staff is non exeistant. Besides the supervisors being so arrogant, all reps are looked down on. It is very hard to maintain a good and optimistic attitude in the environment they have created. I am sure you have seen the report that was broken by NBC (i think) about Ocwen and their practices. Well, let me tell you that as soon as that report aired, every employee got a memo stating how NBC would not return Ocwen's phone calls so they could expain their side of the story, yada yada yada. Ocwen's philosophy is that every loan they own belongs to ppl with less than perfect credit and the problems they have is not due to Ocwen, but their own incompetance. In their training course, you are taught that no matter what the custmer is telling you, you must always determine how it is the customers fault and be sure to let them know it. But do keep in mind that when you call Ocwen for customer service, the reps are probly having a really bad day too.
And on a final note, just to let you know how the company got such a stupid name, Ocwen stands for NewCo backwards. Can't you just see the CEO's sitting around drinking beer and saying, "Lets start a new company, buy a bunch of BCD loans, but we need a catchy name." And one of the guys says "I got it!! Ocwen." (here is where you roll your eyes and say, "Why me, oh God, why me."

Michele and others: Refinancing away from Ocwen is not easy. BE CAREFUL!

AUTHOR: Marlene - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 18, 2004

Dear Michele,

You can bet on this: Ocwen wants your home.

But do not try refinancing away from Ocwen without fully protecting yourself from it. You need to take some steps for your protection. Before you take those steps, you need to realize some basic principles RIGH NOW:

Never ever, trust Ocwen words, oral or written. Ocwen Federal Bank HELL is not a company of is word. That's why you got yourself in problems with it. As a matter of fact, it happens to all of us, victims. We are in trouble with Ocwen because we made the mistake of believing it was a decent or "normal" institution, and not the bandit it really is.

Because of this simple principle, you never deal with Ocwen without exposing your dealings to others simultaneously and/or even before or previously. Forget some old ethical rules here. When dealing with a thief, SURVIVAL comes first.

You call Ocwen, as I do, as a matter of discipline, so they know you are alive and kicking. However, whatever they say to you on the phone, is not to be taken at face value. You are committing suicide if you do that.

You write to Ocwen, and always, always, send copies of your letters to the FBI (as I do), to the Department of JUstice (DOI), as I do, to the FTC (as I do )and to many others of your choice, including your state Atorney, the nation's Attorney and any ourt side State Attorney of your choice (they look at each others behavior). And for your records, of course. You send letters to Ocwen to prove your bona fide and your interest to solve the problem amicably to the others; but never ever believe Ocwen will help you, if not feeling itself VERY EXPOSED.

So, make copies of everything for the rest of the crowd. Make them all aware of your business, at the end, if they did not protect you, you will be able to hold them liable. Since they don't like that, you let them know everybody is looking at them. You are suicidal, again, if you only write to Ocwen, without certified copies to the others.

Ocwen likes to get Western Union payments because in that way is more expensive (difficult) for you. Besides, they have a "juicy" deal with Western Union. Anyway, that demand to pay in that manner, is just another Ocwen's excuse to steal time from you.

If you have money to seek the help of a hard working and honest lawyer who is willing to work full time for you and will never sell you out, chances are you have money to pay the balance on your house, and still keep some good cash on your pocket for your family's needs.

I am not saying honorable lawyers are non-existent. I am just convinced they are a rare specimen.

Keep in mind that most people involved in your home's nightmare are lawyers. And they all work together to get you homeless.

Too many times, victims spend a fortune paying to lawyers that will sell out at some point or will not have the needed courage to fight Ocwen.

Ocwen wins most cases by not showing itself in court. Foreclosure Judges, too many times, do not allow the victims to defend themselves. So, you need to expose Ocwen, very wildly and abundantly, with papers disseminated among different instituitons. It's common knowledge Ocwen's biggest crime is RICO, meaning they buy people from courts and government agencies too.

Now that you know that Ocwen is a lier, go to your local court in person (take a day off)and ask for all records/filings on your house. Find out if your house is up for Foreclosure there. (Ocwen's word is of no use here, no matter what they say or write to you). Take no words: verify with your own eyes all you can.

File a complaint on line with the OTS, invoking the OTS/Ocwen Supervisory Agreement:

consumer.complaint@ots.treas.gov

Write everything in that email. Also, send a copy of that very same email to Ocwen, to the FTC, to the DOJ, to HUD, etc. They will all need to know that you are not only exposing Ocwen; but you are exposing them too. In this way, OTS will not be bothered for your complaint; but by the very fact that you are telling others about your problems. The Ocwen/OTS Agreement works 2 ways: "OTS is bound by this agreement as Ocwen and is obliged to follow up complaint." As Robin put is. (Read all reports you can from her and others at this site. Set an hour or two a day to do that. It's self-defense)

OTS is not preocuppied about your home and family; but it certainly is about itself, if it knows the FBI and the many others are watching it.

Follow all your emails with certified copies to all of them. Let them know they are all getting them. In other words, never send a single email, cc to the rest of the world at once!

Get a credit report from the credit agencies, Equifax, TransUnion, Experian and Innovis. You can do this online for small fees. Chances are Ocwen alrady destroyed your credit. Remember you are a "deadbeat"; therefore, Ocwen needs you to look bad in your credit reports so it can justify its "malservice" to you in the eyes of the fools.

If you already asked them for a pay-off and applied to refinance with another company, your good name is already "disgraced" in the credit agencies.

Remember that the credit agencies real customers are the corporations, not us, the borrowers. Others, mortgage brokers and/or banks get "money under the table" to tell you NO if they have some escrupulos. If they don't have any, they will happily entertain you with Ocwen's help to steal time and make you think you will be able to refi until the very last minute. DON'T PLAY THEIR GAME!

There is a coalition, "www.ncrc.org". They know Ocwen and its cousins and have what they call a "Consumer Rescue Fund" to refi victims of predatory lenders and known fraudsters as Ocwen. They will believe your story and will help you out. Contact them now!

I'm sure there is some kind of office in your state to help consumers or victims of financial crimes. Find them, and file your complaint with them.

You are always in time to be part of the Ocwen class action. Send an Affidavit explaining your horror under Ocwen to:

Mr. Kweku Hanson
487 Main Street, Suite #2
Hartford, Connecticut 06103

His email: leagltek@mindspring.com

You just have to explain all the things Ocwen has being doing to you and your desire to bring it before a Jury for Justice and Compensation. (You don't want any one to sell you out as they did with the Fairbanks victims a short time ago)

Mr. Hanson will never lie to you, will never sell out to close your lips and rape your family.

Ocwen knows me. OTS also knows me. And they "ignore" me for their convenience: they want me to "ignore" them. It will never happen. They will always "enjoy" my constant attention and well deserved despise.

Show no fear. Make no mistakes. Plan your actions. Start now.

Good Luck! And Let us know.

OCWEN-THE RIPOFFS... Ocwen would not change the date due

AUTHOR: Michele - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, June 18, 2004

Thank you for your feedback Nancy. I have tried to refinance but my credit is in such disarray that so far nobody is willing to take a chance even though I can have my attorney verify the settlement issue.

I would be willing to pay HIGHER INTEREST, LONGER LOAN, or Anything to get out from under these snakes in the grass. But when you add up the numbers, I haven't had much luck.

I am in default of the forebearance agreement like I expected I would be since Ocwen would not change the date due even though they know I only get paid once a month and I cannot change that.

I can only try and get a month ahead which has proven to be difficult trying to play the catch up game with everybody. I would appreciate any personal recommendation from you or anybody else. I have left my cell number in hopes that somebody who was for real, would call me or email me with anything.

Thank you again for the response.

Suggested Solutions to Forebearance "unconsidered"

AUTHOR: Nancy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, June 17, 2004

Michele in Washington is, unfortunately, in a financial bind. I hope at least one of the following recommendations will be helpful to her and perhaps others.

My suggestion is that folks try to remove these mortgage loans. Pay them off and get another loan. Look for another lending institute that is willing to go the extra mile to work with and for their clients. And, by all means look for a lower interest rate.

- Try calling various mortgate investment brokers. They are all around the country. Look in PA, MD, & Boston. Surf the net. These folks are in the business of making home equity
work for you. Most of them charge a fee. Not to worry, they roll the fee into the mortgage. And, it is worth the money.

- Another way to get rid of the loan is to search around for folks in the cash flow business. They may be interested in purchasing your mortgage at a discount. Regardless, spend a bit to have other company hold the note.

- Search the Bar Association information database websites for an attorney that practices in a
tri-state area nearest to your home. Or you may even find one in New York that is licensed in both states.

I would suggest not only a real estate attorney, but also a Bankruptcy and/or Foreclosure lawyer and I recommend finding an attorney that accepts payment at the time of delivery.

Refinance, whatever, just pay off the existing loan. If all goes well, you find another lending institution and probably lower your monthly payments. The downside is that you extend the life of the loan. But, if you are expecting a settlement, you can pay it down after you close the deal.

If you need additional information or perhaps would like a personal recommendation, please feel free to contact me.

Ocwen - Ripped off Again

AUTHOR: Michele - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 11, 2004

Is there anyone who can help me find an attorney that could include me in the class action suit? I live in Ocean Park, WA.

As I said before, we went through a forebearance agreement with Ocwen, I have no grace period, payment is due on the 1st, so I do an online payment with them on the 30th, they tell me I entered the wrong account number, which they WOULD NOT verify the account number, I then had to tell them my account number, and I added the check number after the account number, and now they will not accept the payment again, only western union, they state that it says not to enter the check number, just the account number, I cannot find anything that says that, and so they said the bank sent it back with invalid account number, and now I have broke the foreberance agreement, after we had to put down 4000 dollars again to even have the forebearance agreement and they cannot verify if I sent the payment, which they now consider late, they cannot verify if the house will go into foreclosure. Since they have my email address that they verified, you think they could have told me right away, the thing is I believe they just want my house no matter what I do.

I have been reading all of these reports but I cannot find where I could get involved with the class action suit or find an attorney that can help me that already knows about OCWEN.

If anyone can help me, please post below any inf we can all use..
