Ocwen Federal Bank has bogus service fees! Rip-off! They made an error and admitted in writing but still are trying to collect. Ocwen perpetuates homelessness. Orlando Florida

Nov 99 I refinanced with New Century Mortgage to get away from Ocwen and 1.5 years later New Century sold me back to Ocwen. Didn't see that one coming. In short, was forced into Chapter 13 in 4/01 or foreclosure. Unresponsive to my inquires of letters they were sending and they almost got to the fire sale.

Ocwen sent a letter to the court stating my account was up to date and they did not need any money form the court. April 04 Chapter 13 was discharged and less than 30 days letter I started to get statements from Ocwen saying I owe them $$$$. I requested an explanation of fees listed and before I got a reply on the first statement, 2 more were received with different $ amounts.

Their response to my inquiry on the first statement-- they made a mistake and they should have taken $ from the Chapter 13 and now they want me to pay and the bogus fees they have listed. Also, they noted I have not made a payment since 10/03. I have my canceled checks.
During the Chapter 13, serveral times they sent letters thru their Attorney stating I defaulted becaused I had not paid. Burden of proof falls on me and I had the canceled checks.

6/24/04 I received a certified letter stating I needed to pay the $ amount listed by 7/14/04 or they have the right to start forecloser. Guess what another $ amount listed that doesn't match any of the other $ amounts. I have a copy of my credit report and Ocwen has me listed as +120 days behind and yes there is another $ amount not matching another of the others.

Yes, they must be stopped of predatory practices, equity stripping and flipping. Who is going to step up to the plate and take this giant on? They seem to have all the rights in the world and we home owners have none. And the government is worried about the growing number of homeless people-- could this be one of the reasons why?

Check with your legistrators, there is a bill in process on Predatory Lenders and their practices. It it not written well but a start. Little known fact - Ocwen processing is done in India, so what wars are my payments funding since they don't seem to be applied to my account?

I am in the battle with all. My comfort is knowing I am not in the boat by myself. We MUST stick together to the end. We all need to hang in there. What goes around comes around.
