If you are reading this, please BEWARE of Abner Betech and Official Unlock or Official Unlocking (Abner's business).

Abner Betech owns and runs a business that factory unlocks iPhones on the AT&T network.  He does a lot of business on ebay and his own website.  The following is part of what I have personally witnessed and experienced while working with this very shady character and business.

Abner Betech is a scam artist.  He will hire you as an employee at an hourly wage but pay you as a 1099 so that he can skip out on paying your unemployment insurance, employment taxes, etc., which are required by law for all employers to pay.  

Abner Betech is known for paying bills late, paying his employees late, paying his vendors late, and paying his clients late.  He is highly unorganized and cares about nothing else but making a quick buck at the expense of others. [continued below]....
.....  Abner will say one thing and then do another on a daily basis. 

Abner will say that he will pay you, and then try not to pay you unless he is made to by legal force.  

Last but certainly not least, Abner Betech is a criminal.  Do a basic google search of his name and you will see multiple articles about the government convicting him of Wire Fraud, a pretty serious financial crime.  This individual loves white collar, financial related activities and crime.  Do your own research on that one! 

If you happen to come across Abner or his business, Official Unlock / Unlocking, please do yourself a favor and RUN!  No joke, this guy is bad news, will waste your time, and quite possibly rip you off.

Resolution Reached !

Abner and myself have reached a positive resolution to our differences and Abner has acted professionally and fair with me since this situation arose.

First, I have been paid in full for the work that I preformed.

Second, I have received positive goodwill wishes from Abner.

Everyone makes mistakes but I think it is more important to note what takes place after. In this circumstance, Abner has shown himself to be an upstanding business person and human being.

I over reacted and would like to apologize. This all arose from a simple pay dispute that has been settled. I would also like to add that Abner has shown himself to be a far better person than I described above.

I wish the best of success for Abner and the Official Unlock business.

Clearing up the lies...

Apparently, this Craig Levorsen likes to spread lies and mistruths in order to defend the man and company that he now works for.  It is not surprising that an employee of Abner Betech is coming forward to defend him.  What is surprising, however, is that Craig believes its perfectly okay to lie about the facts and just make things up. 

I have given a report of nothing but the facts of what happened (read the original report above); nothing more, nothing less.  I have been open and honest in everything that I have said.  The individual known as Craig Levorsen has not been open and honest and has decided to spread lies in his rebuttal above.  

I will begin clearing up these lies by listing the following TRUTHS, and where any person can independently verify that what I am saying is true.  

First, Abner Betech did hire me as an HOURLY EMPLOYEE.  He told me what hours to work, where to work them, and exactly what I should and should not be doing.  If you would like proof of this, please refer to all of the evidence that I have provided to the Employment Development Department (EDD) concerning this.  The EDD is the government agency that enforces employment law in the State of California.  This government agency would not waste its time on false or bogus claims.  If they are investigating someone, like they are investigating Abner Betech, it means that there is serious validity behind it.  Contact them for yourself to verify that my statements are true:

Second, Abner Betech does pay his bills, employees, vendors, and clients late.  If you want proof of this, contact the multiple collections agencies that he has bills due for.  Abner has indeed committed crimes for and has/had outstanding debts related to committing these crimes.  If you run a simple credit check on him BEFORE you decide to do business with him, you will find that he has many problems with paying his bills on time.  Abner DID try to not pay me the hourly wages that I was owed, and only did so because I made very clear to him that I would go to the Labor Department and report him.  Please do not take my word for it, verify for yourself that this is the truth. 

Third, Abner Betech is a convicted criminal.  In 2008 he was convicted of mortgage fraud in the amount of $16,000,000.  He has/had extensive substance abuse issues and that apparently contributed to his fraud/theft problems. The following links below will detail Abner Betech's criminal conviction and the last link will detail his addiction to multiple substances and the money he stole to pay for those substances:

Now, Im not sure what Craig Levorsen was referring to regarding a "spurious claim", but as you can clearly see, EVERYTHING I had originally reported is 100% factual and is supported by independent and verifiable evidence.  

Craig Levorsen has a very hard time telling the truth.  I will remind Craig, and anyone else out there, that slander is a very serious offense.  By telling LIES about myself, Craig is not only defaming my good name, but slandering me.  I cannot begin to understand why Craig feels it necessary to make up lies that amount to personal attacks against myself.  I will say though, that I will counter all of his lies with the truth.  

What Craig fails to realize is that by his own words, you can see that he is lying.  Craig, in his own statement above, said that "no contract had been signed and there are no physical records to show any relationship had been established" to show that I was an hourly employee of Abner Betech.  Assuming that what Craig just wrote above was true (which it is NOT), then WHY on earth would Craig recommend that Abner "pay him for the time worked"???? 

Only HOURLY EMPLOYEES get paid for the TIME that they work!  See, Craig knew for a fact that I was indeed an hourly employee, just like the EDD knows that I was an hourly employee.  As I have shown here, Craig decided that he should lie about me being an employee.  I have email after email and text after text stating my employment relationship with Abner.  So for Craig Levorsen to outright LIE by saying that there was never any established relationship (basically saying that I was not an hourly employee) and then get caught in a lie, I don't see how anyone can believe a person like this.  This brings this individual's entire credibility into question.  

Craig will go around and tell you he is a God fearing Jehovah Witness one day, and then spread lies on the internet about you the next.  Now, everyone can see the truth. 

I am not one to personally attack anyone though.  I have only came on here to state the facts of what happened to me, and to let everyone else decide for themselves.  I have provided objective evidence that you can use to verify what I am saying is true.  If I were lying, then you could easily see that I am lying by doing a little research.  

I hope that I can save at least one person from the living nightmare that I have gone through dealing with Abner and now Craig...because that will make all of this worth it!

Rebuttal to the spurious claim

My name is Craig Levorsen. I have worked with Abner Betech for many months now, assisting him with various sales projects as well as offering consultation. The person who filed the initial claim on this web site (who I will not name in writing other than as 'T', but you are free to contact me personally) is simply displaying sour grapes towards the work assignments he could not fulfill.

'T' was referred by me to Abner as Mr. Betech needed a skilled worker who had solid IT skills and a flexible work schedule.  I knew 'T' to be such a person, and Abner agreed to bring him on board.  As with most companies, there was a probationary period to which 'T' was to be evaulated before any job security was offered.

Mr. Betech covered a small but mandatory list of abilities the worker he needed would have to possess, and 'T' said he could fulfill all such work. On his first day he was given assignments to address, and after three days of work he showed little progress in completing them as well as an inability to handle many of the assignments. Before the week was out, he was not showing up for work and was difficult to reach.

Abner asked me at that point how I would handle the issue if I were in his shoes. I stated that I would cut 'T' loose from the company, and pay him for the time worked. To be honest, Abner balked at this idea at first as he felt 'T' made promises he did not keep, and therefore should not be paid at all. Concern over how to handle this matter was not resolved for a couple days, throughout said time 'T' contacted me constantly looking for his pay. 

After many phone calls, texts, and comments from 'T' that he had recorded several of the phone conversations between himself and I as well as he and Abner, Mr. Betech felt it best to pay him simply to put the matter to rest after T threatened, extorted, lied and tried to manipulate by means of inventing stories on how he was going to make sure Mr. Betech would suffer. 

The full balance of pay was made to 'T', from which point I have not heard back from him. We have heard from a credible source he is now working at T-Mobile as a full time employee. Yet, he is claiming that he is unemployed.

The matter did not end here though, as Mr. Betech was contacted by EDD to say 'T' needed to be compensated by way of unemployment. Even though no contract had been signed and there are no physical records to show any relationship had been established, 'T' felt justified to make such a claim with the State.

Summary: I have worked for Mr. Betech for some time now, and I have been paid for my services on time. A second employee I brought forth to replace 'T' has been working here for four months now, and she too has received all payment for her work (and was in fact given a raise after her quality performance). 

If it were the interest of myself or Mr. Betech, we would create our own 'Ripoff Report' and give an unsubstantiated and opinionated account of 'T'. I do not see reason though to involve any more of our time on this person than we have, but I do think it important to give an accurate and factual rebuttal. We do wish the best for him and hope that whatever motivated him to make such a report he has, or will shortly, overcome.
