I contracted and gave deposit money to Olga. V. Galkina and William Fick (Bill Fick), owners of Samovar Internet Consulting, LLC to develop an Internet marketing strategy and design Web pages according to my specifications. Olga Galkina and Bill Fick RIPPED ME OFF! THEY NEVER PERFORMED ANY OF THE SERVICES PROMISED AND THEY WONT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. THEY ARE A SCAM. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau as well as the attorney generals office about the matter. They operate out of their house in Belmont, MA. Their website is http://www.samovar.com. I have learned that they ripped off others as well. The job was to entail a full range of text, graphic, audio, and video elements. In addition to standard HTML design, they were to develop 3-dimensional pages using VRML and VRML2. Samovar offered professional redesign and "clean-up" of my existing WWW pages, ensuring seamless use of standard Cyrillic encodings and readability across major web browsers. They told me if I did not wish to house a WWW server on my own premises, Samovar would maintain my Website with their own Internet domain name on its channel for a monthly fee. Samovar said that they convert existing single-user databases into an SQL structure and create SQL databases from scratch. SQL databases are specifically designed for a multi-user environment, including maintenance and presentation through the World Wide Web. Samovar claims that they would help me to choose an appropriate Internet service provider (ISP), obtain a high-speed "last-mile" connection between your office and the provider, and install/configure necessary equipment and software. They claimed that they would design a system tailored specifically to my needs and budget. Samovar technicians have extensive experience with multiple platforms and components (PC-clone, SUN, DEC, HP, IBM, Compaq, Cisco, Livingston, Cronyx ) and operating systems (FreeBSD, Linux, BSDI, Solaris, WindowsNT and other proprietary systems). Should security or other considerations preclude use of the Internet as a data transport medium, Samovar claimed that they could also set up closed Wide Area Networks based on private leased connections. Bill and Olga never did or intended to perform any services for me. All of this is a scam to take peoples money and not do any work. Beware. Do not use this company.
