Omega Office Supply Represented a Fraudulent Company consumer fraud ripoff Culver City California

Our business gets telemarketed about once every month by some slacker with a phone list who thinks he can make a quick buck by representing himself as someone you've faithfully been buying toner/ink from for years. We have had a service contract with the company we lease the copiers from since day one that includes toner, for free, whenever we need it.

Any time the caller is questioned on the name of the company, a phone number, or any other thing that could be used to actually find the individual who called - they immediately hang up.

I have made it a point to tell everyone in our office to forward these calls to me. Each time, I will either lead the scammer on into believing I am going to place an order, as I did in this case, or I will just let them know that I know it's a scam and wait for them to hang up on me. The only reason I would take the time to lead anyone on this way is so that I could get any information that might help me cut down on this annoyance.

Apparently, this scam is not illegal - it's just annoying. Well, all I can say to any of you who are reading notes like this one about your own company is, 'what goes around, comes around.'

There are some of us out there that you really shouldn't mess with.
