One Direct Towing of Cary, NC Towed me after only an hour and a half in a parking lot that was not full and very inadequately labeled. Cary North Carolina

I went to a small town, Apex, to attend a Christmas Concert for less than 2 hours on a Saturday night with my daughter.  The parking lot right beside the Halle Art Center had one of about 4 businesses open at the time of day we attended.  A Pizza Hut was open.  The lot was not full, and we were not familiar with the area.  When we came out of the show, my car was gone.  I was in shock.  I had not even seen the small sign at the entrance of the parking lot and had just figured it was fine because it was not full.  The tow truck then showed up in the lot again as we were standing there and it was evident what had happened.  He must have towed my car and come back for the next victim. 

I took a photo of the sign, the truck, and the lot.  My7 daughter had to get a cab to go pick up my car and it cost me about $180...cash (more if it would have been put on debit card).  I was livid! I could not believe that they could justify towing and charging that amount after a vehicle had only been parked in a spot for less than 2 hours.  The lot was not full, most of the businesses were not even open (only ONE - Pizza Hut).  That Christmas show ended up costing me as much as a NY Broadway show and I will never go to Apex again.  The Manager was very nice to me when I got to the Towing Company, but would not budge about the bill.  It takes me more than two days to make $150 at my job and I don't know how they can sleep at night towing for that cost.  Especially in my circumstances.  I felt like they literally targeted my car.  I was livid.  It was dark, foggy, and we had never been to that Arts Center.  Unbelievable.  I don't know how that driver can sleep at night if that is what he does every weekend.
