I wanted to share my experience on here so that other musicians and indie labels could be made aware of the nightmare they face if they chose to distribute their music through the corrupt company known as OneRPM.com.

I am currently building a case against this company for abuses that go back more than two years (all the way back to 2016.) OneRPM repeatedly steels funds from artist / label accounts, by inventing pretexts that allow them to absorb whole royalty payouts. They then proceed onward with little to no communication from support staff in the hopes of silencing requests / demands from the artists they rip off.  We're talking about a company that has no customer service phone number!  There's a reason for that; read further!

Their latest masterpiece is the new PayPal authentication which basically has me stuck in a loop where I am unable to get through to the actual withdrawing of funds. On the first withdraw attempt you confirm your paypal account with paylpal themselves via authentication. (side note: none of the 12 other sites that pay me through paypal require this kind of authentication in order to securely send payments.)

Next you get a message from OneRPM saying that an email with a confirmation code was sent, and it needs to be clicked to get through to the next withdraw stage.  Once you click the confirmation link in the email, you get another error message on the withdraw page that says "Your PayPal account must be verified for payments greater than 1,000 USD".  Hmmm, interesting considering that my PayPal account is already verified!

I called PayPal and had them send an email that confirms in fact that my account is verified and I am able to receive payments greater than 1,000 USD, unlike what OneRPM's error message claims.  This is currently where I am stuck in the withdraw process (for a whole week now), as they have not replied to the last email where I sent screen-cap proof of my PayPal account verified status.

Other methods of abuse in the past would be OneRPM falsely claiming copyright infringement as a pretext for deleting artist / label accounts entirely. After accounts were deleted (with no communication) all future funds paid from streaming sites and online music sales would be absorbed directly by OneRPM and rarely paid forward to the actual artists.

The only thing that seemed to make any difference was making threats of exposing their scams to the public via screen-capping / video-capping / etc.  Also they tried to keep my whole catalog available for sale online and for streaming after they blocked my ability to collect on future funds. They were basically planning on collecting 100% of my royalties from the sales and streaming of my whole catalog, until I threatened them with legal action!

Artists and labels beware!  Avoid OneRPM at all costs!
