I am a candidate that was recruited, interviewed, and was subsequently provided a written offer of employment effective 1/6/14, contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check and drug screening.  My Recruiter Amber Perrone notified me on 12/20/13 that my background check and drug screening were received, and that I was cleared to start the job on 1/6/14.  Amber also advised she would be out of the office until 12/26, and that someone else may need to contact me during her absence.  I received a call from a 3rd party identified as a "co-worker to Amber" at 2:00 pm on 12/23/13 to advise the budget for my position did not get approved and therefore the job no longer exists.  No further explanation was provided, only that Amber will know more when she returns on 12/26.  After leaving numerous messages on 12/26 & 12/27, Amber finally responded on 12/27 and explained the situation as "something that just happens", and that she would have her boss call the company/employer to find out what happened as she was not comfortable in doing so.  I finally received a call from Amber's boss Tamra on 1/3/14, and she could only offer the same explanation as "something that just happens".  Tamra offered to contact the employer on 1/6/14, which would allow sufficient time for everyone to return from the holidays.  Tamra did also offer to market my resume to other employers in the area to help find another suitable position, which I accepted in hopes of finding another job quickly.  I followed up with Tamra on 1/10/14 to see if she had any luck locating the party who authorized sending the offer letter without funding, or if she had any luck finding another suitable position.  It was apparent per our 1/10/14 conversation that Tamra did not have any further contact with the employer, nor did she make any attempts to find another suitable position. Due to the lack of any reasonable explanation or responses from both Amber Perrone and her boss Tamra, the only conclusion I can formulate is the disconnect resulted from the actions of Open Systems Technologies.   I have since made several subsequent attempts to contact both Amber and Tamra, however they will no longer return my calls since the last 1/10/14 conversation.  This Agency not only fully processed a well qualified candidate, but they also made an invalid written offer of employment to a candidate for a job that never existed. Don't walk, RUN if you are contacted by this Agency!
