Optimum Cable online 1111 Stewart Avenue, BETHPAGE NY 11714-3581 I like to make everybody aware of this new way to rip off money, this new scam come from a cable company that continue to arrass me to get one extra month of service that I do not have received.  Bethpage NEW York

On February 23 I move from the address in which I was received the service from Optimum Cable, and on February 26 Monday, after I get the cable service from Fios Verizon. I made all the call to disconnect the old services from my old address: Con Edison, National greed and the cable Company Optimum. Every ones acknowledged my call except Optmum, they ignore my request of closing my account and they continue billing for two extra months: Marche and April.

They just have become so greedy for money that they continue to ignore my phone calls and insist that they have the right to request this extra charge. I have made several phone calls to them to clarify that I made the first call on February 26, but they continue to insist that I do not call on that day. Now, after so many complaints to 311 and 2 letters in which I tell them that I have all the proof that I move from the house on February 23 and that on February 26 I have called everyone to disconnect the service on my name from the old address. They finally have called me to confirm my call and they have listened the call registered but that I close the phone before someone from the cancellation department spoke with me.

I was unaware that I got to speak with another person other that with the previous ones and after she left me online for more then fifteen minutes with music on I get tired and I close the phone. Now, they use this mistake as an excuse to ignore my phone call so that they can still charge me one extra month of bills, plus the charge for the late payment. I do not have any intention to give this extra money, so beware of this new way to extort money from consumers. Do not trust this Company Optimum, they all are instructed to ripoff more money that they could get.

This fraudolent action in their part have imbold them to not retreat from their wrong doing, instead they continue in this harrassment me and I believed that this is toward many others too. So, I decide to take action against this new scam and report this organized fraud. Please listen to this advice and do not get the service from this fraudolent Company, is better for you do not get involve with them at all. Optimum is a company that you do not have to deal, and if you are a costumer be aware of those scam and trick that they will use on you if you ask for a cancellation of the service.
