Option One/Wells Fargo Servicer AHMSI - American Home Mortgage Servicing, Incorporated Applied for mortgage modification. Got scared because of bad press. Made arrangements with AHMS,Inc. to pay one and one-half of another till June and be paid up. SLS assigned loan in January, 2010. Couldnt find two mortgage payments sent to AHMSI. I made another mortgage payment to SLS and had $600 in suspense. Then in March, 2010, I called SLS to make payment, they refused, need two, called next day with two, they refused, they need three, called next day with three, they refused, they need four, then called next day with four and informed they sent me to foreclosure. After addtl $3000 + $600 in suspense, the foreclosure was avoided. What a ripoff that followed NO federal guidelines. Tennesser

Applied for a loan modification in 2009. It required you to be three payments behind which scared me. Thus, in November, 2009, I called AHMS, Inc. and made an agreement to make one mortgage payment and one half of another payment till the mortgage was got up and expected to be totally current by June. January, 2010 SLS was assigned the loan and informed me in February of 2010 that they didn't have the two payments I had sent to AHMSI nor any notes attached and sent over by AHMSI. In March 2010, I contacted SLS and offered to pay one payment ($600 was sitting in suspense) and they refused payment stating they needed two payments. The next day I called and told them I have two and they refused stating they needed three. The next day I called with three and they refused again stating they needed four. The next day I called and told them I have four payments to send and they informed me they had sent me to foreclosure March 3, 2010. They told me to send an addtl $3000+ $600 in suspense and I could avoid foreclosure. I did and still live in my house. This whole ordeal has taught me to be leary of government programs and mortgage companies.
