Many of you with aging parents might relate to this elder abuse situation with misleading sales practices.  I recently took over my mothers finances and was SHOCKED to find out that she bought a TWIN BED for close to $2,000 and had signed up for a credit card through them with an interest rate of 29.99%!! I confronted my mother and she said she didn't realize that the bed cost so much and with such a high interest rate! She said that she wasn't told either of these things when she purchased the bed.

In speaking with several people to somehow remedy this unfortunate situation, I ran into arrogance, defensiveness and stupidity, with few to listen.  With perseverance, I got to the top and reached the owner.  The one who handles all the unsatisfied customer complaints. Her name is Stephanie.  I felt sure that being a business owner she would have customer service as her top priority and come up with SOME kind of resolution. But alas, she was the WORST of all!!!  She gave me NO answers and only read me the Civil Rights Bill.  She asked me "Do you know of it?"  (Oh, my goodness!!) 

Since I am the only voice my mother has, this totally frustrated me.  If this is the future of our business world, we are in complete trouble.  I told her that I hoped that KARMA would take care of and she replied "What do you mean, that I don't sleep well at night?" WOW!!! She didn't even understand how Karma works. She was HEARTLESS, CRUEL and CONDSCENDING. Oh, Karma come quickly!!!
