I have been seeing the ads on Careerbuilder and other job posting sites for this Orion Marketing and I have submitted my resume in the past. The company contacted me and I decided not to pursue the job I applied for and told them so.

About a month or so later, I applied for the same position again and received a promt response. I asked some basic questions of the woman that called me. I wanted to know what the pay was, if it was salary, hourly or commission and how much it was.

She stated that the only information she was given, is that you start out making between $30000-$40000 per year and if you are accepted to the manager training program and successfully complete it you can make up to $80000.

She stated I would have to ask the manager that will be interviewing me. She asked if I could come in today and I told her I did not get off until 4:00pm and would need time to go home and change. She set an appointment form 5:30pm and I agreed.

She gave me directions and information about the company over the phone and she sent me an email to confirm what we talked about. I went to the website she stated would give me information and still was not satisfied.

Everything on the website is general. They even have a FAQ area which is very general. There is not area of the website, nor answer to any of the questions that are specific. I read a few biographies and tried to get information about their other locations.

The biographies are about people with extensive edcuational backgrounds who now own their own business' under different names, but they are still part of the Pro Marketing Group family. The other locations only offered an address and phone number.

I went to the BBB and could find nothing on the specific companies. The search on the Pro Marketing Group itself is a timeshare company that has gone out of business, was not a memeber of the BBB and had several negative reports to the BBB.

I have tried to look up Pro Marketing Group in the other states which they state they are located and the BBB states they have never heard of them. I have decided that I will not be going to the interview especially after looking up this company on Ripoff.com and finding similar incidents that I have gone through so far.

I would like to make sure that Orion Marketing Group is added to all the other names for which this company is going by. This is a very detailed scam and someone is making some money. This is not the type of business I would like to be a part of. I am working towards a career in business not in scaming.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
