I recieved a coupon for a case for a new wireless device from Otterbox.com. I usually buy from retailers and rarely purchase directly from the manufacturer sites. This was for a Christmas gift and I never heard any complaints so I figured I would give them a try, that was a mistake. I recieved the item, and upon opening it was surprised to see that it had already been opened. It was lying in the plastic packaging case with all of the materials already opened in the shipping box. I have purchased these same items before, so I know they are sealed tightly into the packaging box and in brand new. Upon further investigation, I looked at the item. It appeared that it was a previous return that they were trying to pawn off on some poor flub who didn't know any better. The case had marks all over it as if it was used. I attempted to contact them through e mail but the help form kept redirecting me to some other page. I then called the number for help which appears to be purposefully confusing and gives no prompt to speak to a representative without going through a bunch of rigemerole. After getting someone on the phone I reciev d a return authorization. She told me the return would be really fast after it reached their location. I sent the item back in early December. After a couple weeks I called to see what the hold up was. It was sent through FedEx and they are usually very fast. Normally three days in my experience. The representative said that the item is in the warehouse and will be processed promptly. I am still waiting on the return of the funds I gave them for the item. They how have the item and are not returning my money. I tried to submit a form to enquire about the item but the web site keeps redirecting me to an order checker' page. This company is a crooked, usurious and purposefully misleading company. Do not do business with them directly. They put into p,ace a series of road block designed to intentionally confound the consumer and redirect them with techno bureaucracy. I have tried to have this resolved but simply cannot get my money back. This is a dishonest company and they appear to be so by initial design. They have the duty to return my money upon recipt of the product and they refuse to do so. I suppose I am out the money now. Or at least until they decide it is the right time to give it back. Do not work with Otterbox.com they are a scam and a dishonest company.
