Otto Pinto negoiated a home loan refinance on behalf of Capitol One with me the following-

15 Year loan

2.785%

No points

No loan origination fee.

He verbally agreed on the terms. When the loan estimate came it included Points and Loan oritination fee.

When I refused to sign the estimate with charges we agrees would not be there. He tried to convince me to just sign the document and he would get the fees droped later. I still refused to sign.

He updated the document with correct terms.

I signed the document then he closed the loan file and charged me a loan abandonment fee of $450.

I see this as extortion, I either pay the points and Fee or the loan abandonment fee.

I was not an easy target, he tried several time to get me to just sign the document with all the fees. Because I would not be extorted for the larger amount he is charging my credit card an abandonment fee when he was the one that abandoned the loan because he could not get me to pay points and loan origination fee.

I Feel this was a form of extortion and a deceptive prectice.
