they rebuilt my 200 hp merc motor - hp up grade - extra work done said it needed - they p/u my boat said it would be done right - motor lasted not even 10 hrs - I had to take boat back 290 mile one way to them - had all kind of problems - even had a sherrif involved as they could not get my boat from their house - they had it for 2 months - told me it would be ready - as I drove now over 300 miles to p/u boat - made 3 phone calls on my way up to get the boat and directions they assured me it would be ready - upon arrival - no power head on the boat - I was mad - took the boat home - kept calling them - got my power head back but missing parts like trim relays, carb horns, water piping, ect ... and was promised money back in the amount of $1200.00 for my troubles ( gave me a check number), still as of today 8-1-09 no parts or money and boat been down since March of 2009. I took thermostats out and to find out they are old ones that were cut apart with old gaskets, was to get solid motor mounts custom made by them -new wiring harness and key switch, new steering arm as old one was rusted, replace the mid section, hp up grade with boysen reeds and porting - spent alot of money and got crap so far and lies. I have all phone calls documented ( I could write a book) and also have several witness to confirm my story. this is a nightmare from h*ll

- my story is very true and is fully documented - kept detailed notes on every call plus multiple witness - nothing but problems and lies - good luck if you use them - my boat still sits -

Well, I kinda feel bad that this was posted as soon as I did. i received my motor before this was posted but i just hadn't mounted it on the boat yet. it seems that these guys just do a lot of volume and were behind with their workload in the shop. After the motor was mounted on the boat there were no problems with the work at all and it performs as brand new once again. I feel weird saying this but these guys did an outstanding job with my motor after all and I have over 170 hrs of use without a hiccup!!! Sometimes having negative feedback will always help the company after seeing the positive outcomes. no lawsuits needed here, just another happy customer that jumped the gun cause of being screwed in the past by other mechanics. I would recommend outboardrebuild.com in the future for any outboard needs!!!!

Well here we still go - no money sent by the company as promised and did not recieve all parts, I was able to put the boat in water on 8-9-09 as I had to go buy addition parts to complete this project - 3 months later and the motor over heats - looks like maybe a poppet valve - but they dont replace this per Jimmy - told me to take it to a local shop and they would pay the bill - like I would trust that as they have not even paid me what was promised. As I look at their web page and read what was suppose to be done it looks like a crock of Sh#t to me - It is hard to believe all of my time, money out of pocket and what I had to do to get this far - driven well over 1900 miles - buying parts to put it back together and doing the work that I paid outboardrebuild.com to do. Question now how well will it run and last - and is the over heating problem gone -
Jimmy I know you will read this - if you are a man of your word - send the money you promised - said you would pay for another boat mech to fix problem - pay me first - We can work this out before it goes to court but your time is running out very fast - And I promise I will take you to court as I am a man of my word.
