Owsley And Associates Did not represent me in court, very unprefessional, and its impossible to get a hold of any actual lawyer at this firm. Houston Texas

In early February of 2009, I went to Owsley and Associates after stumbling across their website. Decided to use them as representation for a few traffic tickets that turned into warrants from early 2007.

My wife spoke with a woman by the name of Lizz who gave us a quote of $600, to lift the warrants and for representation fee's. We paid the $600, they lifted the warrants and told us that we would receive confirmation of a court date by mail. After about 2 weeks we never received any information. We called them and spoke with Lizz again, who advised us to continue to wait another 2 weeks for us to receive the information by mail.

Yet again we never received any information, finally after repeatedly calling Owsley and Associates we got through to a woman who seemed to have difficulty speaking and understanding English. She then transferred us to Lizz, who gave us the court time and date.

When I went to court non of the Attorney's in the court room called out for my name. I continued to wait and continued to call Owsley and Associates to try and find out who would be representing me. It was not until 4:30 in the afternoon that finally a lawyer came to me and asked me for my name and told me that he was representing me and that he would reset my court date.

After leaving the courtroom i repeatedly for days tried to get ahold of someone at Owsley and associates to find out when my reset court date would be. Finally i got ahold of Lizz and she told me to call back in 2 weeks that they would have the information then. When i called in 2 weeks she again told me to wait another 2 weeks.

We waited those 2 weeks and then we called, spoke with Lizz who told us that the court date was June 24th at 10:15. We appeared in court on that date and called Owsley and Associates and my wife spoke with a lady who did not speak any English. Who told us that my court date was not until July the 24th and she gave us the number to another attorney's office who was going to represent me in court. We then called and confirmed that the court date was for July and not June like we had been told.

I went to court that day and their was no attorney to represent me. I called Owsley and associates and no one answered. I also called the other attorney's number and got no answer. I had to sign a waiver to represent myself in court because the court clerk said that their could not be any more resets. I received a fine of $286.00, outraged with the end result i continuously called them and i finally got a hold of Lizz who advised me that the attorney was on vacation so they hired an outside lawyer to represent me and the courtroom did not accept that due to certain paperwork not being filed by Owsley and associates prior to the court date.

This law firm is very unprofessional and not once tried to contact me by any means to inform me of any information or change. I would strongly advise any one out there with any traffic tickets to stay as far away from this firm as possible.
