Owsley & Associates ticket reubbtal-J. Sotello

AUTHOR: Michael - (USA)

HOGWASH!! Nothing could be further from the truth, Ms. Galvan is not the client, as her boyfriend Jose Sotello is the client. I told her when she called here asking for receiots that Mr. Sotello was our client and that he had to make his information request himself not her. I was not able to pull up any information online about his outstanding warrants in Lubbock, not until the day that she and Mr. Sotello came to my office to inquire about the outstanding warrants in Lubbock. In fact, I wasn't given the warrant information until she displayed it on her smart phone, only then that I became aware of the warrants. I explained to them that there was a miunderstanding about the outstanding warrants in Lubbock, as I thought that she meant City of Houston Municipal Court on Lubbock. In fact, Mr. Sotello had outstanding in the City of Houston which I assisted him in obtaining surety bonds with our local bonding company that we use for these type of warrant cases. The incident that Ms. Galvan refers to about the two warrant officers showing up at her house is unrelated to Mr. Sotello's case, as he was wanted for a bond forfeiture on an unrelated Harris County charge that we did not even represent him on in the first place.

The only reason that Lubbock came to light to Ms. Galvan, was after the night that the two warrant officers came to arrest Mr. Sotello on a bond jumping forfeiure charge for the Harrisa county case. Ms. Galvan showed up at my office and without making an appointment took up my time and essentially "used me" and the resources of this law office to essentially obtain free legal services for me to remove the warrant in order to post a new surety bond for the Harris County charge that according to Ms. Galvan, our bonding company could not issue the bond until the Lubbock warrant was lifted. As a "courtesy" to Ms. Galvan I went above and beyond the scope of our law office representation to fax over a Letter of Rep to the Clerk in Lubbock to remove the warrants so that Mr. Sotello could get his bond posted for the Harris County charge, that we didn't even represent him on in the first place. In fact, the warrant wasn't even put back into the JIMS law enforcement database long until after Mr. Sotello posted a bond with a local bonding comoany in Lubbock, as per my connversation with our bonding company.

Ms. Galvan is a self-indulgent, bitter person whom I have done nothing but try to help her boyfriend out, even to the extent of nearly jeopardizing my job for a simple misunderstanding on her part, not mine. If she had the pertinent information from the beginning, it is her own fault for not forwarding me the information when she retained our law office. Had Ms. Laura Galvan provided this pertinent information to me in the first place, we would have quoted her accordingly. We didn't even charge her for Lubbock, so her complaint, about me and this law office are totally unfounded. She was able to "buy" her boyfriend some time from being arrested in order to post bond for the unrealted Harris County warrant bond forefeiture. To this date, I have yet t oreceive any request from Mr. Sotello asking for his receipt, so I guess it can't to be too important. Apparently, it would seem that Ms. Laura Galvan has more than enough time on her hands to submit false and frivolous complaints about me, and this law office handling of her boyfriend's warrant cases.
