Pacific Coast Clearing House, Independent Sales, Sales Woman: K. Bray A young woman came in my house and left with a $65.00 check and my cell phone! Gig Harbor Washington

This young woman, K. Bray came to my door talking about how she was earning points for a trip to the Bahamas and a grant for $10,000 to open a daycare if she won. She told me she was 4th in the nation in points standing, the weather was nasty so I let her in.

She was so sweet and about the age of my own daughter so I thought I would be helping her to get this grant for her own business. I felt like I was helping my own daughter! I fell for it hook, line and sinker!

She talked like there was a bunch of them canvassing the area and asked to use my home phone to check in, that she was late checking in and that they would be worried.

I let her use my phone while I was writing out the check for the magazine subscription and then she wrote on this sticker and put it on my door so the other people she was with would know that one of them had already been here.

My boyfriend came home and asked why I hadn't been answering my cell phone, my heart sank, I knew then that she had ripped me off! I called the bank and put a stop payment on the check and Phone Co. to report my phone stolen.

She tried to reactivate my phone in Cheyenne,WY when they told her the phone was reported stolen, she said she had found it in the snow and they left it there
at Circuit City.

Circuit City contacted me and told me what had happened so they sent my phone back to me, I just got it yesterday, Feb. 5th and this all started on Jan. 23rd.

Last night I was checking my bank account online and there was that check cashed, I was infuriated but there was nothing I could do because the bank was
already closed! I checked again this morning and the check was gone so I'm going to call the bank later to see what happened.

It's really kind of scary, some how I have a feeling this little nightmare isn't over!
