Palmetto Marketing Ripoff Fast talkers, pretend to be your friends, force their way in and proceed to rip you off!!!! Coral Springs Florida

Yesterday afternoon two young people (a boy and girl) came to my door talking about how they just needed a few more votes and they could win this trip to Cancun. I told them I wan't interested and that I was on my way out the door to the hospital because my mom was attacked by a pitbull (true story). They didn't seem to care and said something about writing down my name as they forced their way in. I was extremely worried about my mother, and was willing to do almost anything to get these people out of my apartment.

So about 10 minutes later they walk out of my apartment with 2 checks, one for $28 and one for $30. One was to be for a subscription to Penthouse (which I really didn't want a subscription to) with a free 2 year subscription to Maxim (the only one which I did actually want a subscription to.) The other check was supposed to be a donation to St. Judes, but after they left I looked at my reciept and it was for a subscription to Boating World?! These people have me very angry and I have already sent in my cancellation notices, but from what I hear this isn't going to help anything. I was going to stop payment on the checks, but with bank fees and what Palmetto charges for cancelled checks it was going to come to more than I'm probably going to be losing anyway.

I've noticed that some of my neighbors have the "Bug-Off" stickers on their doors and right after this I intend to go inform all of them about the staggering numbers of people that have been pulled into this scam, and that they need to do whatever it takes to get their money back from these scam artists. That is all these people are, shame on them and shame on the company for taking advantage of people like that. Some sort of action needs to be taken to have this company and all of its independant contractors punished and shut down.
